I finally got FreeMCBoot, so I was messing around with both of these emulators over the weekend. SNES-Station gives me really choppy sound and slowdown on almost every game, while PGEN is great in the sound department but still has consistent slowdown. I had heard both of these emulators were fairly decent, so I'm wondering if it has to do with how I'm running them. Currently I'm just loading the emulators off my USB drive with uLaunchELF and the roms are on the USB drive as well. So that means I'm using unofficial versions of the emulators, but should that matter?
Any tips on getting both of these running more smoothly would be greatly appreciated.

Re: SNES-Station and PGEN speed and compatibility?
Are you using PGen 1.5.1? This is the latest (unofficial) build that I tried. It runs Bare Knuckle 3 and Sonic 3 adequately, and I used a USB flash drive as well (it should be irrelevant since all data is supposedly loaded into RAM.. switching between roms though is where the delay happens). I haven't bothered with SNES-Station for years since it used to be slow for me.
Could you elaborate on the PGen-specific slowdown?
