A little quickie update: I'm messing around with Goldeneye for the N64 using a keyboard and mouse. I'm liking it quite a bit so far as the DarkMan plugin works great with Goldeneye, even going so far as to have a built-in configuration. This along with my sort of "just out of reach" nostalgia will have me make this first game I tackle for my Console FPSes with KBM Feature. Spoiler: It's going to be a positive writing. I'll post a thread in the Game Reviews forum and see how other members react to it. For names, I think I'll name the feature something along the lines of "Plays Nice with Mice?"
I'll also make a thread somewhere else, probably Personal Computers, with my tutorial on getting Blake Stone working with a mouse along with another game.

Well, I finally did it: I've finished my write-up on Goldeneye 007.

I'd be especially interested in seeing what those of you who've posted here think.

On Blogger you can actually add an Ad Sense widget, which is built into the system. So there is money to be made as long as you're okay with Ad Sense.GSZX1337 wrote:Hmm, I was under the impression that you could monetize the free blog stuff. Oh well, it's not like hosting this stuff is going to cost a lot.tintinmayo wrote:If you're planning to make money off the site, get your own host and domain. Avoid dedicated blogging platforms like blogspot or wordpress's free blog hosting, since ad networks don't accept blogs hosted on them (or vice versa, the blog hosts won't allow you to use advertising on your blogs).
Personally, my blog has been running off Blogger for over three years now and I have had no issues whatsoever. You probably don't get as much customization as coding it yourself, but I've tweaked mine to insane levels over the years including tweaking the templates HTML code. I also use Dreamhost for my URL, which is only $12 a year (which is how much my blog costs a year).
