Been on a Japanese game kick lately. I haven't historically played a lot of JRPGs in the past but something kind of clicked in me recently and I think I'm falling in love with the genre. Been trying to pickup some games that have passed me by. Feels fun getting into a new genre, has that fresh exciting new video games feel that you had as a kid.

After playing SMT IV recently I decided to pickup some of the PS2 games. I found a lot that had 5 brand new games from the series for $80. Seemed like a pretty good deal.

Got Pokémon Black for $19.99 at Best Buy today. I don't think I've ever seen a Pokémon game that cheap, not even used cart-only ones.

So this is my first main-series "colored" Pokémon game. I honestly don't know what to expect.

If you plan on playing the ones after Black, i suggest skipping Black 2/White 2, as the only thing new about it, is the story, unless thats what your after.

I would say to skip Black/white 1 since most of the new pokemon are not worth it. Black and white you can have more variety on your team since you can catch pokemon on any gen.
