Where's a Nintendo Direct? I need a Mario Kart and Bayonetta 2 date!

Just a heads up, I've been hearing some rumors that Sam's Club are clearancing Wind Waker HD Wii U Deluxe Bundles for $150.

All this doom and gloom about Wii U really depresses me, mostly because the system is actually great and there's some really fun games on it.

It feels like something that people will discover a few years from now and be like, "When did this happen when I wasn't looking?"

I can see it now... Wii U being the next Dreamcast!

Better start collecting!

Mario Kart is confirmed for May at the very least.

I had heard both April and May as dates for MK8, but I'd still like to have a solid date. They need to give us some updates on so many games...

What Nintendo really needs to be focusing on is the next Metroid or Zelda. Tropical Freeze is a good start and should boost sales, but they need more first-party IPs and fast.

I don't know. I think Pikmin, 2 Marios and a DLC (Super Luigi U), NintendoLand, Wii Fit and Wind Waker HD are a good start. What is coming is Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Hyrule Warriors, Donkey Kong Country are all further solid titles. I really do not feel that the system is having a hard time software wise.

They have the best version of Disney Infinity (the game pad makes things incredibly easy in the creation tool set), some awesome exclusive third party titles like Sonic Worlds, Lego City Undercover, Monster Hunter ZombiU, and Wonderful 101 and not to mention decent ports and improved games like Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mass Effect 3.

What happens is that the system seems to have games that benefit in real world contact for gameplay and that is not what people want (for whatever god forsaken reason). People like having on-line play and impersonal experiences, which I feel is a detriment to gaming. Times are changing and games are being garnered towards a different audience than me and Nintendo seems to not recognize that, which is why things are getting pretty rough for them.

Makes me sad, but that is what is going on, people want less personal experiences with others.

I don't know where people get this idea that Metroid is a big IP for Nintendo. I love me some Metroid, but it clearly doesnt do the number of mario, mario kart, smash bros, donkey kong, zelda or pokemon, and I daresay quite a few other franchises sell better for Nintendo too.

This is something I always wondered as well. Why all of a sudden have people wanted a new Metroid? We all saw how well Other M did on a console and as a game it seemed like a huge departure from the Metroid franchise....BUT...I don't think you can do the series as a 3D game without either it being like Other M or being like Prime....and I honestly do not feel anything can compare to Prime if they tried to replicate it.
