You made a claim that NES cover art was better than contemporary cover art because it lacked logos and "boarders" to get in the way of the artwork itself (which was the basis for why you preferred it). Oddly, you posted a picture of games that had a lot of logos and some borders on them to prove your point. I am simply trying to refute that claim by showing you that there are plenty of NES covers that are cluttered and logo-centric (often blocking the art or forcing it into a small area) and that there are plenty of contemporary games with less clutter/logos.

I am not trying to suggest that you shouldn't like NES cover art or that there aren't examples where logofication is minimal, but I am suggesting that you shouldn't rely on a false blanket claim about box art as justification for a preference.

These are forums, and you should expect discussion on anything that you post. Discussion includes disagreement, and you should not expect every other member to agree completely with anything you post here. The correct response to disagreement is: (1) a well-articulated response; (2) concession; or (3) no response at all. Whining or responding with ad hominem attacks, however, does nothing to convince others of your position. Moreover, those responses do not reflect on the character of any other member and certainly do not prevent someone from "get[ting] away with being a pompous ass."
