Kind of, but not as much as I tend to with NSMBU. 3D World I kept at through the credits and a little post-game stuff, but moved on after that. Both are very well crafted games, but yeah, just not ones that I've found particularly interesting.SNKnicotine wrote:Just started playing Super Mario 3D World, although it's a very good games and is pack full of content and fun levels, at the end of day it just feels tired. What are you playing?

I'm currently playing through Mario Kart 64 with my girlfriend. Trying to find some games I can just jump right into without much exposition. N64 seems to be doing the trick so far.
Re: What are you playing?
I was playing it co-op with some people. (Four people, including me.) Two others dropped out pretty quickly, though it was their game. The remaining person and I made it to maybe world 5 before neither of us really cared to continue. (I think I was a bit tired of it by the beginning of world 4.) I don't really understand the praise the game is receiving, but it is technically sound. It's definitely better than Super Mario 64; Although I don't think that's really saying much, personally.SNKnicotine wrote:Just started playing Super Mario 3D World, although it's a very good games and is pack full of content and fun levels, at the end of day it just feels tired. You know, I always struggle to get a measure of your tastes. Sometimes I feel they align pretty well with my own, and then other times I see stuff like this and realise you're actually a terrible terrible person

No sweat. I often feel the same way. See: we are similar.

Just gave Toy Commander a whirl for the Sega Dreamcast. Very very enjoyable. I don't know what hooked me but I like the objectives of each map.

I understand how you feel. I have been enjoying the game a lot, but my wife, who tends to love these types of games, is not feeling it at all.pierrot wrote:I was playing it co-op with some people. For me, my only gripe with the game is the camera not working with me when I want it to. Also, when two players are playing, it is really easy to get lost in what is going happen and you lose track of your character.
I still think the game is awesome, but it is just more of the same and it is a shame.

Re: What are you playing?
I didn't mind the camera so much, but the perspective doesn't really lend itself well to precision in the game, for me. There were a lot of times where I was sure I was going to come down in the right place, and ended up off a cliff, or over an edge. Other than that (and, yeah, the camera doesn't really keep up well with 2-4 players at once) i didn't have any problems with the game, it just didn't really excite me. Felt like I was just going through the motions after a couple worlds.

Been playing a lot of Gears of War 3 horde and beast. It reminds me why I always loved the series, mindless violence, over the top gore, and it helps me get out all my issues.

Re: What are you playing?
I'm currently playing Assassins Creed 4, Borderlands 2, and Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow. Sometimes I throw in Need For Speed Rivals if I don't feel like a long session.
