Video Game "Look what I found"

Went back to my local retro store today and picked up a few items.

Nes games - Astyanax(sealed), Demon Sword w/ manual, Clash at Demonhead, Street Fighter 2010, GB/C - Donkey Kong Country, Kid Icarus: Of Myth and Monsters, Warioland II, Battletoads, Snes - Power Rangers Zeo Battle Racers(or something like that).

$70 total. Astyanax was $30 of it.


I asked if they had Kick Master, Sword Master or Dragon Fighter and the guy told me he had Sword Master in the $3 bin before and if I wanted to wait outside he'd go down in the basement and see if he could find them real quick. Sure, I'll wait...no luck though. Would have been nice if I could have gotten those for a few bucks a pop. Anyone want to let go of their copies for cheap?

That's not a great price w/o the back art. Disc / Manual on GH do $50 range normally. $63 shipped is high imo.

I found Gradius V CIBfor PS2 for $15. The employee buffs all the discs I buy because I spend so much money there I think. The discs look new after he puts it in their industrial machine.

I am satisfied with the lot and have put some cardboard around a few carts I had. Now I need to get Lost Vikings 2 and Super Bomberman 2 carts.

All that for $1. And they say nothing good at the thrift store. I knew that xbox wasn't going to sell for the $40 and didn't when it was on sale for $20 the day before. Got it cause a friend said he would mod it for me. May play an oxbox exclusive or two but mostly it will be a emulator machine.

Afterwards I hit game stop and found a few things was an overall shity experience thanks to the clerk though . Guy got pissed off when I asked if I could keep the cases and manuals I picked out since he was trying to give me loose copies. He did it but he bitched the entire time that he would have to reprice all the loose cases all 4 of them which took about 3 seconds each he just had to input a number hit print and a new sticker popped out . He also went out of his way to find the shitiest complete copies he could find the behind the counter instead of just giving me the cases I had found on the floor. Probably going to see if I can switch out the disc for Ninety Nine Nights which is written all over and has scratches through the top layer and the case for Shell Shock which is cut up for some reason at another gamestop. Probably won't ever be going back to this one I've dealt with the clerk before and he's seemed okay but today he was the very definition of a douche.

This is the exact reason I don't shop at any Gamestop anymore- I've had numerous bad experiences with Gamestop/EB Games going back to an employee cancelling my 360 pre-order and giving it to a friend (I know because I heard the clerk whispering about it as I left the store in a fit of rage at the midnight launch with my paid receipt in hand). The last time I bought anything at a Gamestop the clerk got pissy because I didn't want the shitty case and missing manual she put my disc in. I wanted the manual and pristine case that I brought to the register. After asking for it she then swapped the disc out for a greatest hits disc and I kindly requested the disc she handed me initially. I should have just walked out then and there but there was some back and forth and I finally left with an acceptable copy of my game. I started checking the discs & cases before walking out of the store after getting burned a couple of times and after arguing with someone for an item that doesn't look like shit- which should be everything they sell- I was done for good. I would say they hire shitty employees but the company itself has put into practices a number of policies I don't agree with. Fuck 'em.
