I did that SNES list......ended up getting them all immediately.

Did the NES list......a couple of them stumped me....and one ended up tripping me up but almost all of them I got.

Actually, get this, I got stumped by one for the SNES, but not from that list. A week or 2 ago, ProJared posted a picture on his Twitter of him holding up a game for the SNES he was going to review and he has the picture of the game blurred out, much like the ones in that link. I ended up looking up google images, ebay listings, and other assorted images for half an hour, no luck, because I couldn't figure out what it was off the top of my head. I forgot about it, then I heard about the NormalBoots relaunch and it mentioned that ProJared was making his debut there with.....Simant. All I thought was....THAT was the game? I wouldn't have guessed it AT ALL......fucking sim games.....

And speaking of SNES games, after 2 weeks, I finally got this bad boy in the mail today:

Took a week to ship, took another week to get here from Florida. Also, probably the most dirt I have ever cleaned off of a Super Nintendo game (and I've cleaned some dirty ones in the past). 3 q-tips, 2 of those chlorox wipes, and a toothpick was needed to clean the cart. And I believe this was marked as "good" condition.

Whatever, at least I have the game now. Can't wait to dive into it. I originally dismissed it back in the day because it looked too "kiddy" for my tastes. I even remembered playing it a bit on emulator and not being into it much. It wasn't until my internet went out at my house for almost a week last year and I needed to pass the time so I ended up playing it and I liked it. So now I'm glad to have it in my possession.

BTW, Yoshi's Island = SNES game #74 in my collection.

Pinball Dreams was good on the SNES, but Nightmare had a little bit of censorship with some of the "religious" imagery and blood and such. The 2 guns on the slingshots of Steel Wheel were also taken out. The PC got Pinball Dreams 1 (and 2!), it was one of the first CD-ROMs I ever had.

I know Fantasies was well ported; even the Atari Jaguar had a perfect port. The PC port did a good job with the music and sound.

I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I had beating this game a couple years ago. Such a great art style and an interesting concept for a Yoshi spin-off game. I will warn you though, the difficulty and level design ramp up in the last couple worlds, to the point where I was raging pretty hard at certain points. Also, the last boss pissed me off, and I ended up handing it off to my friend to beat who had played through the game with me.
I hated it because it had absolutely nothing to do with any of the mechanics that the game has used prior to the final fight. It felt like a poor design choice to end such an enjoyable platformer with some kind of Bowser shooting mini-game abomination.

Funny story about Yoshi Island, I played it when I was like 14 on the GBA and I thought it was a Gameboy Advance original game lol had no idea it was originally on the SNES. Thats life before the internet.

Don't feel too bad... for a long time I thought The Man Who Sold The World was a Nirvana song.

well I suppose we did have dial up at the time in my parents office, but I rarely used it, yep back in those days if you wanted to beat off you had to find a friend who had a stash of magazines, playboy if your lucky, but mostly we had to make due with the lingerie section of the sears catalogue.

To be fair it looks way too good to be an SNES game (compared with everything else on the system). But that's what I love about launch game - last games of a console comparisons. Such a huge gulf in graphics it makes you think they belong in different gen consoles (just compare SMB to SMB3, or Alterred Beast to Sonic and Knuckles).

This is especially fun to do with the old computer systems. Like Commodore 64, whose official lifespan was something like 12 years. It's like a 2nd/3rd/4th gen system all rolled into one.

I still haven't completed Yoshi's Island yet... I should get on that soon. I'm thinking of playing all four Super Mario All-Stars games, then Mario World, then Yoshi's Island.

I also need to replay Aladdin soon too. Fun game.
