Just snagged a dirty (but functional!) HD Graphics genesis for $12. Finally, I'll be able to play chaotix...

How does an HD Graphics Genesis help you play Chaotix?Gooseberrysoda wrote:Just snagged a dirty (but functional!) HD Graphics genesis for $12. Finally, I'll be able to play chaotix...

My Model 2 has 32X Performance issues. Apparently, it's not uncommon for Primal Rage and Chaotix to not play correctly. Also, my controller port was a bit buggy- it was time for a new deck.

Too bad I did not know you needed one, would have gladly sent you a deck for the same 12 bucks.Gooseberrysoda wrote:My Model 2 has 32X Performance issues. Hosted a big LAN party last night at my apartment with 10+ people playing console and PC games well into the night. Fortunately, one of my old college roommates was able to make it up. We'd chatted prior to his arrival and he'd mentioned regrettably that his parents had yard-saled all his old consoles (NES, SNES, N64, etc). But he'd managed to hold on to his old Dreamcast which I said I was interested in, if he was willing to part with it. Turned out he was more than happy to sell it to me, along with a couple loose N64 carts that I'd been looking for as well. I picked up everything below (Dreamcast, Cables, 4 Controllers, 2 Memory Cards, Sonic Adventures, Toy Commander, Banjo Kazooie, Mario Party) all for $60. Definitely a win/win for both of us since he needed the gas money. Good to be part of the Dreamcast club now

Nice! I will be making my way back to the Dreamcast club at some point. I actually bought a brand new one on here a few years back, then I (like an idiot) sold off almost my entire gaming collection. I seriously regret selling the stuff, but oh well. The hunt is fun!
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I highly recommend everyone go to their local Big Lots! if you have one. They are currently doing %50 off all their games. Ended up with some awesome deals. Be sure to ask for the games though went to two locations and neither had them in very visible spots one store had them in bins behind the counter the other had them in orange baskets to the side.
Here are the deals I picked up
Namco Museum DS- $6.44
Midway Arcade Origins(PS3)- $9.44
Shinobi(3DS)- $5
Binary Domain(360)- $5
Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition(360)- $9.44
Kirby's Epic Yarn(Wii)- $6.44
Ivy The Kiwi?(Wii)- $5.00

The rumor is that the distributor they purchase their games from is going out of business and they may stop carrying games. At least that is what one of the clerks told me.
Also swung by Kmart but there wasn't to much that interested me. About the only games that caught my eye were Patapon, Patapon 3, and Loco roco for $5 each. Although they did have some of their PS4 games marked down. Both Knack and Killzone Shadow Fall were on sale for $40. Only thing I ended up picking up there was Def Jam Rapstar(PS3) with the microphone bundled for $5.

The big lots stuff is awesome. I picked up the Resident Evil gamecube remake Wii port (that's a mouthful) for 7 bucks there last week.
