A walk from the Blue line, a stroll away from Superdawg, and minutes away from the heart of downtown Chicago. Fenced yard, garage, gorgeous basement, and an upstairs made to rent. Easily worth a million. I need to have a say in the sale of the house, if it goes up for sale.
It's always something.

Like "Timber" quite a bit -, catchy, fun, easy. Don't know any of the people involved but sometimes music doesn't have to be serious or complex - it's just catchy.

Pompeii is the same, clearly going for the anthems and its music you don't have to think about.

One of my dogs died today, shelby. He was older than me.
On the bright side, I got some very very nice TF2 art made for me on commision.

I am sorry about your dog.SamuraiMegas wrote:One of my dogs died today, shelby. He was older than me.
We gave him a great life, however, and spoiled him rotten during the last few weeks of his life. (He had a banana, his favorite food, with every overflowing bowl of kibble for the last few weeks of his life, and Luke's pictures on the pet thread inspired me to give him multiple liverwurst and mayonnaise cakes.) Accordingly, I try not to be too sad about his death, and we are all trying to seek contentment in the knowledge that there was nothing tragic about his life. Rather, our sadness is caused by our desires to keep him with us forever.
In any event, keep your chin up. There are a lot of great dogs out there, and when you are ready, I am certain you and your family will find one ready and willing to join you.
.....
On a completely unrelated note...I recognize that Timber is a pretty terrible song. (t is the absolutely unnecessary sequel to Rednexx "Cotton Eye Joe" from the late '90s.) That said, it is still really fun, and provides me the same sort of joy I get from eating cheap junk food. That is, I enjoy it when I hear it on the radio despite my full knowledge of its awfulness and my knowledge that I will someday loathe myself for listening to it.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Kinda busy day today, though not really.
Woke up around 9am (which is early for me) and found out that due to the cold, rainy weather today I was taken off the schedule.
for losing 6 hours worth of salary, but all things considered kinda
.
My mom had to work today, so I asked to be dropped off at Animal Kingdom, and then took a Disney Bus to Hollywood Studios. Once there I walked over to the Cast Center to return the two DVDs I checked out and checked out two more: Zokkomon (a Bollywood superhero film) and Once Upon a Warrior (a Teluga-language fantasy film).
Took a bus to EPCOT, and checked out Captain EO, the 3D Michael Jackson movie. Liked it. Then went over to the World Showcase. First stopped at Morocco to the store that sells fezes and snapped a pic (with my second-hand Tracfone) of yours truly in a fez:

Next went over to Mitsukoshi (the department store in Japan's area) and walked around.
On my way out of the park, stopped at Club Cool and sampled the international soft drinks they had on tap:
* Beverly (from Italy) - a bitter soft drink I did not care for.
* Fanta Pineapple (from Greece) - a fruity Fanta that I only recommend to fans of pineapple (unlike myself)
* Fanta Melon Frosty (from Thailand) - not much for melon
* VegitaBeta (from Japan) - one of the two non-carbonated offerings, featuring apricot and passion fruit flavors. Not much for apricot but I liked it.
* Bibo Kiwi Mango (from South Africa) - don't care for kiwi or mango. Also non-carbonated.
* Sparletta (from Zimbabwe) - raspberry creme soda. Liked it a lot.
* Inca Kola (from Peru) - I've heard of its scent and taste being akin to bubblegum (ICYW, a couple of my EPCOT shifts had me emptying the trash cans in Club Cool), and easily as much one of my faves as Sparletta is.
* Guarana Kuat (from Brazil) - the flavor is that of the guarana berry, known for being high in caffeine, though ironically the only drink with caffeine is the Inca Kola. Good but at best I can say I liked it.
After leaving Club Cool, I took this selfie with the giant robot gonad... I mean the Spaceship Earth sphere.

Went to Downtown Disney and snapped a couple of pics of two of the posters that are part of the hipster Mickey Mouse line of merchandise. Don't have them on my computer yet.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Accidently posted an items condition as very good the other day and bids came in before I realized my fudge up
The item description and photos showed everything pretty clearly, but whatever at least his demands are reasonableI just received the game today. Item listed as Very Good condition. The cover art and instruction manual are as hard as a brick and have major water damage. I would like $7.75 partial refund (1/2 the sale price) or I wish to return for a full refund. This game is in less than acceptable condition. Very disappointed in this transaction. thank you

Also had a guy just ask if he could pay in cash after not only bidding but upping his max bid on the item. Plus I have yet another two none payments from earlier this week to deal with
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Frown: I was at a friend's house for dinner and games afterwards and a little while into the games we realized it was snowing outside. Since the Seattle metro area has no ability to deal with snow I had to hit the road immediately so I could get home safely.
Smile: I did get home safely.
