I'm pretty sure BurningDoom was being sarcastic.dsheinem wrote:Because they take humans prisoner all the time and most of the people who are outraged about the dog and flood media/social media about it never make a peep about the people.BurningDoom wrote:Why? Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I just googled "vietnam cooked dog". I am not against people cooking any animal they feel like (I had a baby sheep as a pet for some time when I was a kid, imagine me trying to stop people from eating sheep), but I have to admit....the image of something you are only used to seeing alive, cooked, is pretty disturbing.

Not at all. Animal's lives are worth just as much as people's, as far as I'm concerned. But Dsh makes a point too. It's just more shocking with an animal because they have no idea what the hell is going on and are innocent in the most basic sense.BoringSupreez wrote:I'm pretty sure BurningDoom was being sarcastic.dsheinem wrote:Because they take humans prisoner all the time and most of the people who are outraged about the dog and flood media/social media about it never make a peep about the people.BurningDoom wrote:Why? Do you think the same of all animals? Like bugs? And fish?BurningDoom wrote: Not at all. Animal's lives are worth just as much as people's, as far as I'm concerned. But Dsh makes a point too. A bug and a fish hardly have consciousness about them beyond survival instincts, not really the same. And if the internet is in an uproar about this, I'm obviously not alone on it.ZeroAX wrote:Do you think the same of all animals? Like bugs? And fish?BurningDoom wrote: Not at all. The lack of blue text compels me to respond. They do, actually, have feelings, i.e. they perceive pain. As do from what I understand all shellfish.noiseredux wrote:it's ok to eat fish cuz they don't have any feelings.
