New Strider Game is Here!

Oh well, at least this Strider looks like it'll have the style of Devil May Cry in 2D form.

If that's true then I'll pass on it. The Strider series are side scrolling action platformers, not hack n slash, beat 'em up style games.

I was meaning that it looks like it'll have flair and a regard for agility. I'm not saying that I expect it to play like Sengoku 2 or anything.

If they can build on the GOOD Strider 2 I'll be happy. Talking bout this one:

A 3D Strider could be interesting though, but if that ever happened a Devil May Cry clone is the LAST thing I'd want. God, we have enough of those as it is. I'm sick of the game industry rehashing anything that becomes popular over and over again until you get sick of it

I was meaning a sort of 3D Action Game like DMC or the PS2 Shinobi, not necessarily a clone of the former.

Tbh, I never liked the original Strider games much.

Sweet! I've played through Moon Diver more than a few times with my friends and I'm itching for another Strider. I'll definitely get it.

Moon Diver felt like a real tease. While it was fun in its own right, I've been itchy for a modern Strider ever since. Well, itchier.

I'm excited about this game....but then Double Helix developed it. I don't know what to expect.

I haven't played anything by Double Helix so I'm not sure what to expect. Since I haven't been burned (yet) I'm willing to give the devs a chance.

(I also did hear that some versions will include the original Strider 1 and 2).

so some folks played this early due to the XB1 hiccup or whatever, i'm told it plays a bit different but is still good...cautiously optimistic! so debating importing the physical one too, but man the goodies the japeanese LE gets are insane.

Tempting, as I would rather have a physical copy of a game versus digital. However, I've read the game is short of 10 hours in length, so for that price I'll probably stick with the $15 US PSN digital copy.

The game is getting good reviews so far.

From what i understand, this physical release comes with the PSone classics Strider 1 and 2, anyone know for sure?

Hook a PC up to your TV and use Steam big picture mode.

I'm not going to import it, but if it comes to the States I'll pick it up. I don't think too many PS3 owners will import it either since the PSN version comes with Strider 1 & 2. I'm hoping the previous Strider titles come to Steam.
