Any one recommend a specific A/V switch box? I used to have one that needed electricity to work and then it slowly died and had output issues, the signal was bad.

Speaking of which, I am starting to go through a huge back catalog of old PS2 games I have never played. Games like the Onimusha series, Godhand and some of the strange oddities like Graffiti Kingdom (which I have played before but never beat...can't wait to post pictures of my penis monsters), Chulip and more!

Double Fine is kind of turning me off now the way they have been going about business recently
,
First there is Broken Age.
They dropped the Steam Early Access when they released it last month and only one sentence below the summary acknowledges it's not done yet
. Alot of time has passed since the article I posted but it's still weird that they would release half the game with the rest coming in a later update without throwing the early access banner on it especially since the release date of part 2 is rather vague.
Then there is the Double Fine Amnesia Fortnight 2014 Jam
. Seems interesting again but the inclusion of a $35 "collector's edition" documentary has jacked the average up a lot
. Couldn't remember if they did that last time so I went digging around but couldn't find much. They are however still selling stuff from the 2012 fortnight
the digital copies of the game prototypes are $10 or they have a collector set which ranges from $30-70
.

We were always planning to release the beta on Steam, but in addition to that we now have Steam Early Access, which is a new opportunity that actually lets you charge money for pre-release content.

Act 1 is available now, and the act 2 conclusion will arrive as a free update later this year!

I guess I just don't like the ideas behind episodic games and early access in general

The idea of profiting off work before it's complete just annoys me. If you put a mouse in a maze and then give him half of his reward at the midway point is that going to make him work harder for the rest of it?

I backed it on day one and decided I am not going to play it until they get the entire game out. I like episodic content for some genres, but for adventure games, when I hit my groove I want to finish.

Someday I hope to have a large enough game room to keep... I dunno.... at least a fourth of this stuff hooked up at all times.
Have a PS3/Wii hooked up to my LCD, the rest is hidden in the closet or on my CRT, which isnt easily accessible and i dont keep anything hooked up to the CRT unless i play it.
What id like is a nice couch directly in front of a LCD/CRT combo, someday....

With the current market, I'd say to go look at whatever retail outlets you have, or that are good for you to mail order from and look there. The ones I have aren't made anymore, but they're just the passive switches that Gamestop and all used to carry. Not high quality, but functional.
These days, nearly any consumer device is HDMI capable, so that's where the focus is. Composite/S-Video/Component switches are still out there, but tend to be low-tier products. So, probably, find whatever cheapo $10-20 box a convenient retailer has and try it.
Personally, I'd say to consider an A/V receiver as well, or to start with. Aside from the upgrade to audio, you've usually got a fair number (and possibly variety) of inputs to work with. Higher end models can also serve as video scalers/converters.
