What was the last movie you've seen?

That movie is so awesome. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

That movie is also one of my favorites, and I have been meaning to re-watch it ever since I played through Hotline Miami.

I've been playing songs from the soundtrack on youtube all morning.
Ideed, it is a really great movie. Movies don't get to me, but that one does a little. Jake does a great job of making you feel for the chaos going on around him too. The soundtrack is indeed a great selection of period tunes and the score is excellent as well. Gary Jules' cover of Mad World was played too much at the time, but it is also very fitting and awesome.

No one wants to hear about the little bubble we live in w/o newspapers, cell phones and cable...but i'd never heard this song before last night, not this apparent cover or the original Tears for Fears version.

I've had this and Kavinsky's Nightcall on loop all morning.

I probably need to go back over all music and movies 2000-2007 as I think I missed quite a bit.

I haven't seen this since it came out on VHS. I didn't see what the big deal was at the time and have since forgotten about 95% of it. I'm thinking I should give it another shot after reading you guys talking about it.

Last night I watched 500 Days of Summer. A lot of really good things, a lot of things that really irritated me -- most of which stem from the fact that you barely get any insight into the female point of view. It's a good story but telling it solely from the male POV to me is just like, "Check out how dumb this guy was." I don't know, I went through that sort of thing (who hasn't) a looonngass time ago, so I guess I'm not the target audience.

Well, in a way that's good. No chance to be burned out on it.

I liked Donnie Darko a lot the first time I watched it. Watching it again, I somehow liked it less. Typically, if I really like a movie, a re-watch will help me appreciate some of the small things I may have missed, and consequently cement the movie as a favorite. However, the opposite happened with Donnie Darko.

Same thing happened with me watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind a 2nd time. Not exactly sure why that is.

With me too as well. I actually have no interest in watching it again.

OMG The Fucking LEGO Movie

I really expected to dislike it as the ads have not sold it well at all as something that adults will appreciate. I went because the four year old was stoked, but I have no doubt I was more emotionally invested and was enjoying it even more than he was by the end of the film. It is shockingly GREAT.

And it should make a mint.
