Pelican GBA Charger

I loved this thing. I recently consolidated my GB collection and dug this thing out. I think I got it in 2002 or so. Well, suffice it to say, the batteries are kaput. I'd really like to make use of it, but what can I do without batteries?

What do you all think? Keep it as a relic, or just toss it?

You think you could replace the internal batteries in the pack with new rechargable ones?

Yeah, if you can pop open the grey cases and see the specs on the actual cells, you might be able to fit some new ones connected to the plates. I've done it with a rechargeable beard trimmer and a 360 controller battery pack.

I agree, replace the internal batteries. It's probably not complicated.

My guess would be that the most difficult aspect would be opening and closing the battery packs themselves. But that's what Dremels and super glue are for.

Well, I wouldn't dremel on them since if it gives you're grinding into caustic chemicals. Careful utility knife and prying is probably better.

Is there a particular model of Wiimote battery packs that will fit inside the GBA's battery lid?
