I can never pick a favorite VU album. It always just ends up being whichever one I last listened to. But OMG "Candy Says" is such a brilliant way to open an album. And as you said, "After Hours" is a brilliant way to end it. Oh, and all the songs bookended by those... also brillaint.kidfresh wrote: This is my favorite by the Velvet's.

Si Begg / Si Futures / Buckfunk 3000 is good stuff. He makes fun remixes of others too.Stark wrote:I liked this. +1Hobie-wan wrote:I'll see your Mogwai and raise you a Moguai.

Nice solo work from the mind behind Nightwish:

I've also been listening to this nonstop for a few days now:

Trapped in a Box:
Sometimes:
"Trapped in a Box" is that great fun so characteristic of early Doubt. "Sometimes" has that classic feel to it, a really nice ballad.
Squeal:
Beacon Street is a nice complement to their eponymous album, but in my opinion it doesn't quite measure up.
Tragic%20Kingdom deserves all the praise it receives, but early No Doubt really rocks.

Still listening to VH1 for some odd reason. Just heard "Let her go" by Passenger. It stinks and is basically a stolen riff played over and over. Now it's on to "Happy" by the less talented half of nerd who can only sing out of one side of his mouth. This song also stinks and is based on a stolen riff from an old negro spiritual.
Watching these videos makes me understand why Blurred Lines was pretty much the song of the year for 2013.
I'll admit to liking Lorde, as there's some actual music going on with her, but grab my cane for me as i plan on shaking it at whippersnappers while asking them "You call this music?".

are you out of your F'ing mind? Pharrell is the less talented half of NERD? (BTW, NERD is more than 2 people. The Neptunes are 2 people, though. That's prob what you meant to say.)Luke wrote:Now it's on to "Happy" by the less talented half of nerd who can only sing out of one side of his mouth.
Pharrell is awesome. No idea what you're talking about.
Funny... cuz "Blurred Lines" had Pharrell on it.Watching these videos makes me understand why Blurred Lines was pretty much the song of the year for 2013.
He was also on Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," which I'd argue was an even better pop song of 2013.

I watch Totally 80s (I think that's what it's called) on VH1 Classic. I hate modern pop music.
