What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Lol. This job will actually be a pretty big step down from what I was making when I got laid off. But it will pay the bills and get me some IT experience. This is what happens when you do a career shift, I guess.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

It is available for PC and Mac as well though.
The PC version is good. I haven't played the Android version yet, but adventure games tend to translate well to touch controls.

Smile: My facebook movie won two Oscars as well as three People Choice awards.

Wow: http://voices.suntimes.com/news/cvs-car ... -products/

That's like billions of dollars of ethics right there.

According to the article, $2 billion in ethics actually. That said, they'll regain some of that by using that shelf space to offer up other products and will likely be using this as a marketing ploy to work deals with local doctors and pharmaceutical companies.

:) : Found a nice oXbox yesterday. Disc drive has been acting funky on my old one so now I'll have a back up. Also came with an interesting storage stand/audio video switch box. Had three controllers with it but they all need new sticks either an animal got to them or somebody took the time to scrap the rubber off :P.

eBay shop talk/venting :P.
Disappointed thought case would be in great shape but artwork is excellent
$3 for a loose copy of Resident Evil(GC), plus I printed out artwork after they requested, and gave them over a week to make payment :P. Kind of ticks me off to get feedback like that after bending over backwards for him/her :P. Whatever such is the nature of eBay.

:) : At least I was able to resolve the issue with Super Mario World. Talked them through cleaning the contacts and that got it working :P. Pretty sure I went as far as opening the cart to clean the contacts before I tested and shipped it so I might need to clean my SNES cartridge slot thinking it might be gunked up and maybe some of that got transfered during testing :P.

:?: : Starting to notice that there are a ton of people on eBay who shouldn't be on eBay :P. Have had a surprising number of people not be able to pay for items that cost under $5-6 shipped. Most have eventually paid but if your that tight for cash you probably shouldn't be buying games online :P.

Good! They probably won't recoup the loss, but then again, it's a minor dent in their revenue. Doing the right thing > getting even richer.

Today's a bum day. Deep puddles of snowy water, wet clothes, train delays, and the flu. Could be worse though. I could have been under this.

Saw this on the way home.

Well of course revenue doesn't always equal profit so they might not lose a dime.

I wonder if Walgreens will follow suit. When I was growing up in Chicago, the drug store was the preferred place to get tobacco and alcohol. They had it all; cigars, cigarettes, pipe tobacco, pipes, wraps, lighters...just about everything besides bongs. Glad to hear they're cleaning shop.

So...basically...this is also great news for the head shop industry.
