In an interesting twist, the ongoing 2 v 2 tournament at shmups.org has Rayforce as this week's game. So that means my focus will be a little more serious when it comes to this

Slight improvement. I tend to have one good run and then I get worse and worse.

I think I had 400k after Stage 1 and about 880k after Stage 2 this time. Almost screwed up Stage 3 again, but I got the extend during the boss fight, which helped me finish it off...

I don't think the scoring differences are quite as big as some people have been suggesting... I had about 375k after Stage 1 and 750k after Stage 2 (and I think I missed some points there).
