I found that the cartridge slot of my Saturn is not the best in the world -- it does not make proper contact with the cartridge. For awhile, just re-inserting the cartridge and rebooting took care of it -- it probably still would, except I grew angry with this process and decided to just clean them off. Works everytime now.

i stopped using caps and it cleared my sinuses - long live lowercase!
seriously though, no caps. and put your cartride in carefully and leave it there - the slots on saturn are sensitive, so switching carts is a bad idea.

Yeah, I was sure my 4 in 1 was bad when I got it, you really just have to try it in a few positions. And stop yelling.

I have problems with my cart slot as well. Though not in the traditional sense. I can use my 4-1 with no problem, it's just for some reason, normal 4mb cards just don't work. I haven't used a 5-1 yet, as I can't seem to find one out of the internet auctions.

But even still, I need to replace my saturns battery. Sure, 4-1's are good, but when you're stuck doing the swap method it isn't that great a deal for saving backup games (I have to save to the system, turn it off, load system with cart, and transfer the save to cart.... EVERY TIME I SAVE IN SHINING HOLY ARK) I really need to get a modchip, but I have no soldering experience what-so-ever and I don't want to have to buy another saturn because of a mistake I made.
