The majority of people don't make that distinction though. In fact, I know people who consider couples who don't have sex "just friends". Its sad, really.

And the whole friendzone thing is retarded. If you really wanted a relationship and all your heart is broken and such, move the fuck on. Turning it around and saying you don't want to be friends but want to be something more is also an option, and the one I personally would use.
