good:
-HDD install is great, its about time.

-interface is better than blades

-loading time for browsing content much better than blades

-overall looks better - better first impression which I'm sure will help sell consoles

-the party system looks cool but I haven't tried it yet.

bad:
-avatars look ridiculous. Their mannerisms, poses, outfits, scale - all screams 'gay'. Its just indicative of Microsoft blatantly going after the casual crowd. Hello! Umm. Xbox 360 isn't a very good casual system. So basically they alienate their core audience for the hope of grabbing a few customers who can't find a Wii.

-Recovering a gamertag from another x360 system takes, literally over 10 minutes. I can't imagine what huge amount of data needs to be pulled down in order for such an awful delay.

-the fact that now that there is something to do with hdd space (install games), it highlights how little free space most of us have. Its a piss-off that a 20gb HDD has less than 13gb free - right out of the box! Where the hell is the other 7gb? And don't say its the OS, because Live Arcade systems have no HDD whatsoever (now 256mb built-in flash ram), and still can install NXE.

-adding to above, an upgrade to a 120gb HDD is hugely too expensive. $150 CAD or so. I don't care for Sony's PS3 very much, but seriously they are on to something with just letting us upgrade using any standard HDD - not proprietary overpriced crap.

Sorry if the 'bad' section sounded harsh. I've been watching too much angry video game nerd... :D
