Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I wish I didn't love M.U.S.H.A. so much or I'd sell it in a heartbeat. I remember when I first started collecting and thinking I got ripped off back when I bought it for $30.
If I had known then what I know now I probably would've sprung an extra $20 for one with the manual.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I picked up a New Geo X Gold Limited Edition (With Ninja Masters Card packed in) brand new for what comes to about $77USD from EBGames. I saw them on Sale when I was in my home state, but they were all sold out, I always had mild interest in the unit, but not at the crazy price.
I have been interstate visiting my girlfriends family, I walked into the EBGames and they had one, but priced at $289, I asked him to check the price and it was mis marked, so I grabbed it, if for all else to have the controller to use on my PC.
The handheld itself is pretty average and not something I will most likely ever use, but when in the dock with the arcade stick (which feel a bit 'lighter') than the originals, but still decent at the low price I paid, it is pretty good. The audio emulation is pretty horrible and the controls seem to be delayed on some games, but I have read the firmware update (which you get from purchasing any of the game packs) fixes these issues.
They currently have the Collection #1 (which is usually $100 and has all the games released up to this point on it) for $25, none have stock near where I am or where I live, but a few do in towns that we cross to get home, so hopefully I can pick one up on the way home.
Emulation is usually not my thing, but these are just a nice little novelty, similar to an Atari Flashback, at the right price they are awesome, at the retail price, they are a fairly large rip off.

Musha seems to fluctuate wildly on what CIB copies go for on Ebay. I've seen as low as $150 recently, to $350-ish. Depends on picture/angles and the auction wording.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I decided to see what game saves were on the Sega CD I bought and there was Lunar: The Silver Star, Popful Mail, The Space Adventure and Shining Force. Part of me knows that he just burned these games but the other wants to find whoever traded this in for $20 to a game store and get those games from him.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Went a little overboard today
.Wasn't expecting to find much but ended up with a pretty large pile of stuff. Damage $123 after taxes
.

Day started off pretty slow popped into the Proctorvill flea market which was dead as usual
.
Then I moved on to the Chesapeake flea market where I found a few things.
One of the few resellers I buy from has been missing the last few times I have been there but one of his friends opened up his stall today. Found out that the owners wife had been diagnosed with brain cancer and they estimate she has a year tops
. His friend wasn't super familiar with the prices so I ended up only picking up a Saturn Controller and Marvel Ultimate Alliance(xbox). Wish he had the Saturn I wouldn't have minded going over market value to help him out
.

Before I left I bumped into a wii lot that has been sitting around a few weeks. A few weeks ago the lady was asking around $10 a game
, but I thought I would check to see if she had anything new. Apparently she was tired of having it sit around though since she immediately came over and asked me how much I would give for all of it
. Was having a hard time estimating a decent price seeing as there wasn't really anything that I wanted or didn't already have, but she came back with an initial price of $45
so I was more then willing to haul it away for here.
DJ Hero 2 was actually still sealed to my surprise opened it up to be sure everything was there and nothing had been touched. Almost all the games were complete and the only thing missing from the accessories was one of the hilt attachments on one of the light sabers. Was actually pretty surprised by the light sabers thought they were the standard cheap plastic sword attachments but the blades are actually glass tubes which light up
(looks nice but I wonder how many kids busted these while playing). Also got a cheapy Microphone with the stuff no clue if it came with one of the games but it's not a usb so it's missing an adapter if it did.

Then went to goodwill in south point to see if they had anything as usuall I was greated with prices higher then retail. Almost bought a drink recipe book until I saw it was marked $5 in marker right next to the $5 retail sticker from borders
.
Finally I swung by the two tri-state pawn and jewelry shops in Huntington.

Please do not take offense to this, but 95% of what you got there is shovelware that should be left to bake in the sun at fleamarkets. A lot of people seem to be getting quantity over quality. And honestly, you could have taken the $123 and gotten a handful of really good games, or even blown it all on one expensive ass game that you would actually enjoy. How many hours are you gonna put into Barbie horse adventures, or Mary Kate and Ashley sweet 16? Im really not trying to sound like a dick, but the lot does not justify the high price tag.Fragems wrote:"Stuff"

This. There are so many people doing among the community in general. I actually did this too for a bit mainly in envy of the bigger collections other people had. Eventually I grabbed a box and filled with all the games I had no intention of playing and traded 'em in to the local shop. My collection is almost as big is it was previous to the renovation but now it's filled with games I love.jay_red wrote:A lot of people seem to be getting quantity over quality.
@Fragems
This isn't directly point at you. I'm just speaking in general.

Yeah a lot of the shovel wear was from bundle deals
This time around I kept Gears of War Judgement, God of War Ascension, Wii Music, Savage Skies, Metropolismania 2, and The House of the Dead Overkill Extended Cut.
I'll be the first to admit I am a reseller

Fragems finds are among my favorites. I love to see piles and piles of flea market stuff.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
As long as he's offering to the community at prices that are profitable to him and still save the community over ebay prices, it seems perfectly fine to me. There are a lot of guys who collect system libraries and to be able to have someone actively finding those cheap / shovelware titles and offering them up at fair prices it seems a good way to subsidize the building of one's collection. Packing and shipping $3 games for $1 profit per game seems like easy money - but it's awfully tedious and slow and both the person doing it, and the community at large benefit.
Now, as a word of caution, if you find a $50 game for $2 and plan to sell it here for $45, it still is a service and price break over other means, but there is no way around the fact that to some, it is still going to seem disingenuous.
