also why does dana insist on running in circles and yelling "MULDER." when she finishes

The answer is: Escort and protection missions suck. Always.

Sorry I have no useful suggestions.

Also, that game sucks.

Im playing through the game for the first time too, the Mansion is super easy imo, the next stage the Warehouse, can get pretty annoying if you dont check your map often.

Im currently on the 3rd stage, not much to say about that.

Yeah, once I got the hang of the controls I found that the game is surprisingly open ended, you don't need to go anywhere first, you can just fool around the map and take many different approaches.

I was recommended to play it on Hard so I have additional objectives and such. Apparently the different difficulty levels are very well done, with lots of minor changes. All in all, it's a very smart game and I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Concerning the darkness, apparently the game is buggered in that aspect and the Gamma indicator doesn't work half of the time. I downloaded a fanmade patch called Tafferpatcher that fixes many of the problems with the game but for some reason I have to boot it again everytime or the Gamma is stuck to practically nothing.

I also have the files for an engine replacement called "New Dark" that is supposed to replace the wonky graphical engine of the game with a more tolerable one.

Kind of a shame this game is getting a sequel and not a remake.

I beat RE revelations, when it first came out on the 3DS. I since started playing it on the Wii U, as i progressed i could easily remember the following sections and stages. as I got to the end of the game I realized that there is a final boss for all of the games groups, at points i felt like it felt a bit dragged out and unnecessary does anyone know if additional content was added to the home ports. I still think the game is really good and a step in the right direction for the RE series.

I don't know if they bundled any DLC with it.

It's been about a year since I played it on 3DS. I have the Wii U version on my shelf waiting to be played.

I have a huge backlog right now. That's another one I have to beat.

Still trekking through Deus Ex HR DC. At 30 hours now.

OnLive is the shit. Now that I have a connection up to the task I can get behind streaming games. There's nothing like hitting "play" and the game starts right then and there.

I can't wait to see how Sony handles their streaming service.

Not even remotely a new thought expressed in this forum, but I swear to jeebus, I think i spend more time on here and looking at gaming-related stuff online than I do actually playing games.

Oh well.

I doubt this ever works as good as running a game on the actual hardware... I believe there will always be some sort of lag... unless they optimise it in some better way in the future.

But the idea is great... not having to upgrade your hardware to meet the best performance, I wonder how it will work on PC software or a whole OS .

Strongly considering getting an Ouya for my bedroom. I like my original game systems, but they're just as much showpieces as they are gaming machines, so they stay downstairs in the living room where they can be enjoyed by guests. And while I have multiples of most of the most important (to me) systems (NES, SNES, Genesis), I feel as though having a nice all-in-one box with a wireless controller would be convenient if nothing else.

Just gotta find one at a decent price.

And on a completely separate gaming thought, I think I've decided I don't like candy cabs. Like, I keep thinking about dipping my toes into arcade hardware, but the more I look at them, the less I like what they look like. To me, stand-up arcade is the way to go. The bright plastic and such doesn't really scream "arcade game!!!" to me, I dunno. Which is a shame, because stand-up wooden cabs typically don't have the niceties like easily changed control panels or rotateable monitors. Ah well.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

I know everybody's budgets differ but I thought $99 was a pretty decent entry point.
As much bad-mouthing as some people on the internet give it, I don't regret my Ouya purchase. I will say that there is some controller lag. People say that using a PS3 controller improves this. I have yet to purchase one, but it may be worth keeping in mind that it may tack on additional expense.
Emulation has been pretty fun for this casual player. I've played mostly NES emulators, and maybe one SNES game.

EM Pinballs: Bally Dixieland, Gottlieb Flying Carpet
SS Pinball: GTB Circus, GTB Count-Down, GTB Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Stern Lectronamo, Stern Galaxy, Bally Black Pyramid

Just gave up on Mario&Luigi: Partners in Time. The first one is one of my favorite RPG's, but the sequel was just so bland. What was the deal with getting rid of an open world? A "hub" just doesn't work as well. The writing and characters were all so bland

I've moved on to Bowser's Inside Story, which is so far waayyy better. Nice to not be babies through it.
