I don't think so actually. There's hardly any swearing, no nudity, and the violence is tame compared to other movies of this generation. I think it would be PG-13.oxymoron wrote:I just watched Raiders of the Lost Ark again. I've had an itch to watch a Jones film ever since I got LEGO Indiana Jones a week ago. I can't believe that movie got a "PG" rating. If it were released today it would have gotten a "R" for sure.
What was the last movie you've seen?

Dude, you have to train the youth. If you stumble across the Ark of the Covenant, you don't open it.Luke wrote:Rated R for:

The first one won me over pretty hard and made me aware that Indonesia actually had a film industry, so I am highly anticipating this sequel:

I forgot about this. Thank you for reminding me. I have to find a copy. Glad to hear it was good.REPO Man wrote:
Just... WONDERFUL! INCREDIBLE!
One of the best films I've seen in ages.
Basically, the story, which is a more in-depth version of the one told by the album of the same name, follows a dying composer named Tom who, on his deathbed, revisits his youth, albeit in a more twisted and often nightmarish light.
Here, in this deathbed dream, his past is told in metaphors and riddles as he chases after memories of his childhood while eluding a wicked creature who takes the form of a snowman and seeks to hinder his goal.
Meanwhile, in the real world, his adult daughter Gem deals with her father's condition and resents her father for never being there for her and her mother, despite the objections of Tom's old bandmate Ann.
But soon, Gem discovers the truth she didn't know about her father as he tries to rediscover what he's lost.
Easily this film is set to be one of the great fantasy films of all-time, though naturally one might think twice about letting the kids watch this.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
FUN FACT: Tobe Hooper originally sought a PG rating for The Texas Chainsaw massacre since: (1) there is little to no nudity; (2) there is little to no profanity; and (3) the vast majority of the violence occurs off-screen. (There was no PG-13 rating at the time.) The MPAA rated it R, however, but its only basis for doing so was that the film was too intense/scary.
On a related note, I watched The Artist last night. It was a very fun movie, but it had a PG-13 rating. If The Dark Knight is PG-13, The Artist should have been PG at the very most...

Gotta be Cahiers Du Cinema.Luke wrote:An otherwise reliable movie website is really starting to tick me off by spreading rumors that they know to be untrue. Why? Another reason I'm ticked off with them, they're doing it for traffic alone.
Like some clowns add #JustinBeiber to attract more views to their twitter account, these guys are doing it with completely made up rumors about upcoming super-hero movies. For shame.
If you guess the website correctly, I will say si.
