USB Pic Programmer , which way does the chip go ?

hi RB members , i just got this in the mail today for making my own PSX modchips for personal use.


im stuck on one thing tho , which way does the chip im trying to program go ?

The circle on the chip is where pin 1 is so I would make sure that it's at the top when inserting it.
