Hello! :D

I'm Victor, from Brazil (guess I'm one of the few users that actually use their name as a nickname). I've been gaming since I was 4 but I really got into colleting last year when I started to find some really good deals in some flea markets. I hope to become friends with a lot of people here and I'm willing to help other people complete their collections as well. I guess I can help I little bit since it's pretty easy and cheap to find TecToy's exclusives (mainly for SMS and Genesis) here.

I guess that's it! n.n Pleasure to meet y'all! :-)

I've posted and made some trades with some other members, but never posted here.

I'm in MD, married and waiting for kid 1 on the way (not for a while, but it's going to fly by)

Started collecting things back up around 2008. Got rid of most of it to pay for the wife's ring. I kept my NES and the Dreamcast I bought on launch day. Over the last year, I have started getting parts of it back.

I'm not all-out kind of collector--I kind of have a list for each system and want those games. I don't need 500 SNES games, only about 30-40. Same for the other systems.

I managed to get all the Nintendo systems back(minus virtual boy/3ds/wii u) in one iteration or the other. I still have that launch day Dreamcast, but I have been thinking about getting a Genesis again with the Power Base Converter (Recently got Hyperstone Heist for a dollar and kind of want to give it a go and the Power Base Converter at the Sears Clearance Center was the video game thing I wanted so bad as a kid).

I think TurboGrafx sounds interesting, I just don't know if I will ever touch it. I keep thinking i'll find one out there, but years of thrift store checking and i've only ever seen games for it once and never a system.

Anyways, see ( or is it post?) you around.

Welcome! If you live as long as your namesake you'll have plenty of time to figure out what to collect! ;)

HELLLLOOOOO Racket community!

I've lurked here for a long time and finally created an account. I've been gaming since as far back as I can remember. My first system was a Super Nintendo. I honestly don't stick to any particular genre or company. I play what I like and buy what I like, so I'm not a huge collector. It's hard to name what games are my favorites since different genres can't really be compared. So I won't even try.

All in all, I'm not nearly as interesting as this profile may or may not demonstrate.

Hi, My name is Evan! I haven't collected much. (I'm a bit of a beginner at retro collecting) I just have a Genesis and Super Nintendo as of right now. But that doesn't mean I'm a virgin to other systems such as the NES, Neo Geo, etc. My favorite game is probably Mega Man 2. Reasons? The title screen, the powers, and it's Mega Man!!! I also enjoy Conker's Bad Fur Day. Some people may find it weird, but i have a strong disliking for Super Mario 64. (Please don't hate me!) Well, that's all I can think of right now... I hope I can provide something to this oh so wonderful community of nerds! (Such as myself.)

Not a HUGE collector, but I love Japanese imports and the J gaming culture in general, even dating sims. I go by the name Purple Heart on this board, which is a name of a character from an obscure PS3 RPG entitled Hyperdimension Neptunia in which I am a proud fan of.

It's not a game that will appeal to everyone, it's entirely niche, as per any Compile Heart/Idea Factory/NIS game.

I am a total weirdo, but I am okay with that.

Fear not good sir as it isn't necessarily about collecting as it is about having a love for games of any generation! Since the SNES was your first system, any particular game that you are strangely nostalgic for? I was a Genesis man myself and need to add more games to my repertoire for the SNES so any would be helpful!

Greetings and welcome Evan/Apollo! We all have to start somewhere in the collecting world and it is good to see fresh faces excited about the hobby! Mega Man 2 is a spectacular game and may be the best Megaman on the NES without a doubt! As for disliking Super Mario 64....I can understand. If you haven't tried it, I may actually recommend Super Mario 64 DS. Improved graphics, controls and the additional characters can make some of the levels much easier to play.

As for loving Conker's Bad Fur Day...who doesn't!? That game has so much charm in its crude pop culture references...not to mention its awesome multiplayer modes which I still do this day love to play with friends.

As for your Genesis and Super Nintendo collection of stuff, any particular games from those systems you really enjoy and feel nostalgic for? As a big Genesis/SegaCD collector, I have a deep seated love for games like Quackshot Starring Donald Duck, The Phantasy Star Series, Eternal Champions CD, Sonic the Hedgehog (Of course) and much much more!

it recently occurred to me i failed to introduce myself, both here & a few other forums...really sorry about that, i just came in buying stuff up like i didn't know any better, haha.

I'm a big sega fan from GAF/Sega-16/PCE and several other forums, i think my first interaction with this place was buying a DC VGA box many years ago but have used the 101/undiscovered gems etc pages for many classic systems countless times, and i've really valued them as they've rarely steered me wrong! it's a bummer that some of them to be 404's lately.

Anyway, thanks for having me, and again, all apologies for the poor etiquette, i'm trying to get better about that.

How dare you good sir! I am offended that you would dare forget your forumly duties!......nah I'm just kidding... welcome aboard!

Few questions for you if you don't mind me asking.

First off, clearly you have a dreamcast, any particular games you are fond of for the system?

As a collector, what do you feel is your most prized possession?

And now, for the most important question of all time....drum roll please.

.
.....

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?

Keep fighting the good fight and hope to see you around more and more!
