Together RPG - SRPG - Ogre Battle MotBQ - 1/11/14 -> 3/11/14

I've found the best defense is destroying half their army before they get a turn.

Well you can definitely make a case for that. And once I have liches, princesses, and dragoons, it is a cake walk anyway.

I'll be ready to roll this weekend!
Anyone know why the PlayStation version says "Episode Five"?

Kind of like how A New Hope is Episode IV. He picked what he felt was the most interesting story point as the beginningBoneSnapDeez wrote:I'll be ready to roll this weekend!

That's interesting. I've played some of the other games, but never followed the plot too closely. Since there are five games total is The March of the Black Queen actually supposed to occur last, or did the storyline just get abandoned when Quest dissolved?

MotBQ is the first chronologically of the main games. OB64 is ep 6, TO:LUCT is ep 7, and the Neo Geo Pocket game starring Tristran is at the same time as MotBQ. I don't remember where Knight of Lodis lands, but it's a side story.BoneSnapDeez wrote:That's interesting. I've played some of the other games, but never followed the plot too closely. Knight of Lodis occurs before all of them. There may be some overlap with MotBQ but I think it predates that as well.
Damn I wish they would make a new game in the series.

Knight of Lodis is a bit before Let us cling together.
Spoiler below
Spoiler below
In one of the endings of Knight of Lodis (the canon one presumably?) the protagonist goes to serve the pope and gets renamed Lans (Lans Tartare).
In that ending you also get to see what is presumably an older version of him planning to attack a village to capture or kill a priest.

I managed to recruit Deneb with 99 Alignment on my opinion leader so I'm firmly convinced only Rep matters.
The rep needs to be quite low though, the bar seemed quite a bit lower than 40% to me! Maybe around 20%. Hard to read that bar.

Re: Together RPG - SRPG - Ogre Battle MotBQ - 1/11/14 -> 3/1
Well, I've made it a good deal farther than I was previously. I've now finished 17 of the 30 battles in the game. Characters I've acquired include Tristran, Debonair, Fenril, Slust, Rauny, Norn, and Saradin(who I just got at the Balmorian Ruins). Warren is a Lich, Rauny and Norn are both Princesses, and I have about five aerial attack squads made of up disturbingly powerful units alongside Wyverns, Cockatrice, and the likes of Canopus. My reputation is extremely high, as I've been using my three nicest squads for capturing cities and temples, so I've pretty much given up on getting Deneb for this go. I am about to take on the swamp in Antalia. The battles may be bigger, but a couple of squads easily annihilate the competition, and I have Warren, Rauny, Slust, and a Wyvern as a squad for my main boss killer as well as alignment-breaking, excessively good enemy squads. After finishing the swamp, I look forward to using the undead there to boost up a few of my weaker city takers, especially since Ashe has been so good to me with his squad's high alignments.
