Recommend me some Samurai/Kung Fu movies.

Another great one to watch, even if it is over the top is the original Street Fighter Trilogy with Sonny Chiba. Fun Fact: First movie to get an X-Rating for violence, but an edited version can be found

Another good one-armed swordsman film is, Tsui Hark's The Blade.

If you are going for over the top hyper-violent gore-fu, then I would recommend the now infamous Riki-Oh. Hilariously bad special effect gore effects mixed with really bad Kung Fu choreography makes it an instant 'so bad it's funny' flick for a group to watch.

and not to diverge from the OP too much since it's not Jap/Kung Fu, but...
If anyone here is a Capoeira fan (like myself), the best fight scene you will find is Lateef Crowder vs Tony Jaa in 'The Protector'. There are a bunch of other Capo movies like 'the Assailant' (currently on netflix and touches more on post-slavery era Brazil stuggles mixed with Capo as the plot element) and super cheesy 90's action flick 'Only the Strong' (one of my all time faves, as bad as it is it got me aware of and into Capoeira).

Just putting it out there if you like something a little different in your fighting action flick :)
