Turns out Exed Exes is on Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded, which I purchased last week because it contains 1943 Kai. Nice.

It's also on the same Classics Collection that has 1943 Kai on PS2/Xbox (Volume 1).BoneSnapDeez wrote:Turns out Exed Exes is on Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded, which I purchased last week because it contains 1943 Kai. Nice.

I've had such a good day!
This morning I got my 1cc on Dodonpachi Resurrection (ok, it was novice mode and I was playing Strong style!) and tonight I cleared Espgaluda II in novice mode!
After clearing DDP Res on novice, I played in normal Xbox 360 mode, Strong Style, and got to the stage 4 boss! I think I'm really improving!

Yeah I picked up that one the other day too.ExedExes wrote:It's also on the same Classics Collection that has 1943 Kai on PS2/Xbox (Volume 1).BoneSnapDeez wrote:Turns out Exed Exes is on Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded, which I purchased last week because it contains 1943 Kai. Nice.

Both collections have just great games, but it tends that I'd focus on the shmups, right? Same with Taito Legends 2.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Yeah I picked up that one the other day too.ExedExes wrote:It's also on the same Classics Collection that has 1943 Kai on PS2/Xbox (Volume 1).BoneSnapDeez wrote:Turns out Exed Exes is on Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded, which I purchased last week because it contains 1943 Kai. I'm going to be doing the original Japanese Salamander tomorrow as part of a new elimination tournament over at shmups.org and other websites participating at the same time. I'm only familiar with my times playing the arcade and NES ports of Life Force. Teamed up with dunpeal2064. Can't wait to do something old school again!

I just got the platinum on Resogun (PS4) a few days ago and now I'm playing Super Star Dust Delta on my PS Vita.

Great games, both!graffix_13 wrote:I just got the platinum on Resogun (PS4) a few days ago and now I'm playing Super Star Dust Delta on my PS Vita.
Does the Plat for Resogun require a 1cc?

Strato Fighter on Tecmo Classic Arcade (Xbox).
A cool horizontal shmup where you have the ability to turn around with the push of a button.
But this is one of those games where you lose all your power-ups after a Game Over, and are thus completely crippled.
I can't get past level 3, which is where I tend to get my first Game Over. I guess the strategy for this game is "don't die."

Interesting. A rare (classic) shmup I have never heard of. I'll have to check it out.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Strato Fighter on Tecmo Classic Arcade (Xbox).

Re: What shmup are you playing now?
Yeah I had never heard of it either. That's the only console port. Thankfully, that compilation is very inexpensive.
Tecmo arcade games are pretty tough in general. None of the games on this comp allow for respawn credit-feeds, instead they all feature either checkpoints or true Game Overs.
There's a couple of other shmups on the compilation as well - Star Force, which seems really primitive and neverending and Pleiads, which is more of a Galaga/Satan's Hollow type game.
