...You're making his point for him. Those games are (mostly) atrocious with touch controls.
I didn't test them myself but the reviews are mostly 4/5 so I am not sure how much they suck(reviewed by hundreds or thousands of people) . I did try a Rayman game and it works well.

maybe what you are saying is true, but it sure saddens me to to see the PC go. Like most of you, I grew up believing the PC is the future. Talks are already around it starting to slow or die to the tablet market is kind of sad, its like saying VHS is dying. If what you say is true then PC's have been phased out of the consumer market faster than compact cassette that lived longer than 25-35 years.
You have to remember that for MOST people, a computer is just a box that gets you on Facebook.
Maybe that's a little extreme, but my point is that MOST people just use a computer to get on the internet and do emails. Noticed I capitalized "most" twice now. I really mean it. If you were to poll every person, I bet a really high percentage only uses a computer for internet. Let's include streaming videos, netflix, listening to music, and all that crap too. All that can be done on a tablet. Even a college student typing up a paper.
I bet if you go around and ask every one you come into contact with if they use a computer for anything other than the above mentioned, you'd be hard pressed to find some one that told you they did.
So... for all these people, I'm sure a tablet is such a more simple way for them to do their things. Especially now that full keyboards are becoming more popular for tablets. With a keyboard attachment, a tablet becomes just like a laptop for these people. In fact, I bet if more people knew that, then NONE of these people would consider buying a new laptop. They'd all get a tablet.
Yeah man don't worry. Computers are here to stay . Just....in the form of tablets . You are basically just slimming down the computer to a portable format. I'm sure you'll be able to connect it to a normal screen, mouse and keyboard to play your games in the future

No, computers are here to stay. It's just that Jam is saying there will be a huge shift to tablets for the vast majority. And I think I agree. Businesses will always use (traditional) computers, even though businesses are starting to use tablets as well. But it's easy to see that low-mid end laptops will all but be replaced by tablets. Low-mid end home desktops? That's hard to say if they'd be replaced by tablets. Scarce, as Jam put it, probably. High end desktops certainly wont go anywhere, for the people that need them (the people that use computers for more than just Facebook). Gaming, of course, audio and video editing, stuff like that. Stuff that you just can't do on a tablet.
People have been over paying for PCs since like 1999. Some one will buy $1200+ PC just to go on hotmail and IRC. Today its more true than every , a computer from 2005 probably can do everything most people want. My '08 macbook still feels like new. More and more smartphone/tablets users are realising this , they don't need a computer.
None the less, if you go back to the early 90's and see how PCs are seen in the media as the center of the of future family...

For me, I wouldn't touch one until it drops to 149.99 for the deluxe console. Needless to say, I'll likely be waiting a while...
If Nintendo is going to quit on the Wii U by now, it would be one of the worst consoles produced ever (sales wise) . I honestly would put it down there with the 3DO and Jaguar.

I meant they pay for CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage they do not use. As for my macbook choice, both a Prius and a BMW will take you to your destination its just the ride experience that will be different.

Keep in mind though, these are not full-fledged games that are being released, just "free mini-games" to give the public a small taste. They have to do something to appease the stockholders and draw more people to their hardware after all. It should be noted that they're not giving up on the Wii-U by any means - if anything, they're trying to attract more people to it.
If you are suggesting that buying a MacBook is "overpaying", allow me to comment. I also had a 2008 MacBook, standard version with zero upgrades. I sold it last year for $600. Let me repeat that. I sold a six-year-old minimum spec laptop for $600. Would anyone pay anything for a Windows-based Core2Duo laptop in 2013?
