PSP and PS2 demos!

Post by flojocabron »

I picked up these as freebies from my local gamestop a few years ago

do you guys have any? Did you try them or did you give them away? or *shudder* throw them away?

Do you find it (PSP demos) more of a collectable to have them in a physical copy or to have them as a download?

Do you think that psp demos are to be collectable? Or a failure since UMD demos are kinda redundant? (since demos can be downloaded easily without making a disc?)

Almost all of these I've picked up at gamestop, but I have a demo copy of Dragon quest for PS2 that I believe came in the mail as a demo?

I've opened a few of my PSP demos in the past, and I do believe that some come with updates/firmware. So I take it that they were also made to upgrade PSP's for the people with no internet or were too cheap to buy a new game?

One more thing about the demos that I have; All the PSP demos except for Ratchet and Clank are in basic card sleeves. Just a demo disc inside a glued paper sleeve. The ratchet and clank demo actually opens up and has more info inside of it.

Looks like sony put more effort into this demo than the others.

Did any of you actually buy a game after trying out a physical demo?

Did you get suckered into buying one and figuring out that it was a demo and not the whole game?

lets hear your thoughts.

I have a PS2 Konami demo disc from 2004 or so. I don't remember if I had it stuffed in my bag when I bought something else or if it was just up for grabs by the register.

I wish I still had the couple of PS1 demo discs I used to have. No idea where they went though. Young dumb me must've thrown them out at some point.

I got rid of my PS1 demos, too. I don't really remember doing so, but really, they were (and are) pretty worthless to me, so I'm not sad. Are they somehow considered valuable now?

Not really valuable but I'd still like to have them for nostalgic reasons mostly.
