I do buy games. A lot of games in fact, even on systems that have emulation and easy access to burns/rips/roms. I have quite a handful of wii games and bought 2 more on black Friday. Disaster day of crisis looks good though- and I'd like to play it despite living in a country where the twin towers fell. Sometimes i like to actually try the game before i buy it seeing as i have yet to ever play a Nintendo demo.

so you know- I'd appreciate avoiding the 'pirates are bad, cheap bastards' mentality. Granted, there are people who abuse it, but i actually enjoy collecting games in addition to modding hardware/software. Both are fun for me. I actually enjoy getting the most out of what i buy and tweaking the things i like to run the way i want them to.

plus- it strikes me as a little odd to throw in that statement in a thread that is part of a 'hacks and mods' forum. I don't want to flame or troll or whatever the internet calls it... I'm honestly not like pissed or anything at ya. I just find this mentality odd. Generalizing a group of people is a sure fire way to make a mistake pretty much every time.

You know there are legitimate uses for this hack, right? If there is a good mass storage solution for the Nintendo Wii, it could serve the same purpose as those Nintendo DS flash carts. Buy the games legally, rip the ISO, then have all of your games available without having to swap out discs.

@OP: Do you know if this ahck can be used with GameCube games? I want to get a Wii and install a modchip for GameCube games, but I can't convince my sister to split the cost with me unless I promise not to mod it.

I find the mentality strange that you are posting how to mod and hack a current GEN SYSTEM on a RETRO GAME SITE!!!
