I bought shock of the hour and villian in black when they first came out. There was good songs scattered about but his material wasn't quite up there as the other 3. I always liked the guys voice and delivery.

Meanwhile artists like Yelawolf, Hopsin, and most of Tech N9ne's crew sit in the underground with no recognition, making no money.
Maybe I just don't understand these kids music nowdays
You might be surprised to learn that Tech N9ne is actually one of the richest guys in hip-hop, which proves that you don't need million-selling albums or radio-airplay to succeed. It's all down to him owning the rights to his own songs, running his own record label and constant touring. I remember reading an article towards the end of last year about the Forbes list of richest rappers. Tech N9ne came in around #16 or #17 with a net worth of about $8 million. He was one place higher than 50 Cent!
So if he's making that kind of money, I'm guessing the other artists on the label are able to make a fairly decent amount just from touring as well.
That is surprising. Alot of my friends don't even know who tech is. I enjoy horrorcore like him, brotha lynch, or esham but mainstream doesn't so i can see how they remain underground. i think tech n9ne and lynch should do a collab album. that would be sweet.

i've never listened to most of it. when that came out i wasn't into the sub genre or anything from the east coast. i think i've heard some of flatlinerz which came out at the same time, and only because russell simmons backed it.
