My monitor died

Luckily I've got an old CRT that I can use. But this means I need a new monitor, preferably one that's cheap.

Any suggestion guys?

I just bought a 22" Acer from Newegg for $150 on Black Friday. Of course it's not here yet so I can't tell you if it's any good but they seem to get decent reviews. It's probably not as nice as a Samsung or Viewsonic but I've had good experiences with Acer products in the past and it was cheap.

You should definitely check Newegg for ease of browsing/comparisons/reviews/pictures. Also Cnet usually has editor's top ten lists that are helpful when buying electronics. 22" seems to be the price break for LCDs. As soon as you get to 24" they jump up to $300.

Nice deal, wish I had seen that. I've been looking for a 22" widescreen LCD for my GF for christmas. Been watching slickdeals, but haven't been able to get in on any of those before they expire. Anyone got a link to a "cyber monday" deal on a 22" LCD in the $150 range?

wow... creepy, I must be tired or something because I read that as "my mother died". Then I got in here and you were talking about CRT and stuff I thought to myself, "that's weird, why does he call his display mother? And that's kinda sick."

And yeah, I usually go Newegg. They tend to have really good prices. Or go around to all your friends houses and ask their thieving lil' brothers if they stole any recently! Heh... joking. Just saying cause recently my buddies lil' brother sold me a 22 inch LCD for like 25 bucks. It had to of been stolen.

It was $300 when I bought it and it was still worth it. My only real gripe is the typical flaw with all LCDs I know of; when looking at level height, the bottom is slightly brighter and the top is slightly darker. Sucks in FPS games that are very dark and shit attacks you from the ceiling but other than that....
