Yeah, apparently the Wii version of Dead Rising has trouble generating more than a few enemies at a time. It's worth it to pick up the 360 version if only to have all those enemies...
Certain games like Bioshock and Mass Effect that suffer from the whole "anti-piracy" issue on the PC don't have all the nasty DRM stuff to worry about on 360. Just a thought if you're interested in those.
The Condemned series(don't know if you're much of a horror fan, but I enjoy them).
There's a list of suspected 360/PC exclusives for 2009 at http://dlb-network.com/2008/10/xbox-360 ... xclusives/.
That help any?

huh. I'm going to vote in the opposite direction. Xbox live is a small fee for online games that are run with little to no lag and dedicated servers. I don't think ps3 is quite up to the xbox online play yet, but they will probably get there in a year or so.thejamessea wrote:360 really sucks. I'm usually in the camp of thought that says "Every system has its worthwhile titles." But I owned a 360 for a year and it was just awful. Hardware, software, dashboard, everything. Hated it all.
XBOX Live should be free if they're going to put 12 ads on your dashboard. Pisses me off.
True- the hardware in the beginning was shit. Red rings and all that. But i got my first xbox last year and i haven't had problem 1 with it. It does run a little loud, but so does the dreamcast and i still love that. Plus- now that you can burn the games to HDD with the new dashboard, it runs super quiet.
I always hear shit about the dashboard, but i've never had a problem with it. It's never crashed or lagged and i've always found what i was looking for. As for the ads... yeah. They are there. They are also on this site. And google. And like 90% of the internet. Honestly- get over it. I don't even see them unless it is something i have vested interest in buying like that street fighter HD.
I do enjoy the achievements if they are made well with the game and not just tacked on. Although- trophies...
to answer your question:
I was pretty anti microsoft for a long long time, but i feel like the xbox has come into its own. I don't know if it is worth buying if you already have a ps3. There are a ton of crossover titles and few exclusives worth buying on both fronts. Personally, i'm not convinced to buy a ps3 yet so i guess we are on 2 sides of the same coin. There are like 4ish games on ps3 that i kind of want, but not enough to drop all that money. Plus most of my friends were on xbox unlike yourself. It seems like the "must play" games all come out on both systems eventually.
Re: Can you convince me to buy a Xbox 360?
i can easily say xbox is the best console this generation, if you overlook the bad hardware(which I think got better now)
Sure buy one, but if you have ps3 AND wii and you don't care for online play...then the only reason you want to buy the system is for exclusive games like mass effect, ninja gaiden 2, gears of war1+2, and so on...
otherwise, you are only wasting your money if you do not have interest in these games. As for dashboard, i hate it , its created in a stupid hard way to understand and use but its no worries, the new experience is much better.
but owning two systems already, i dont see why u want 360..main advantage online gameplay

Re: Can you convince me to buy a Xbox 360?
Well, I personally like racing and fighting games, and play lots of Virtua Fighter 5 and Forza 2. I know Virtua is available for ps3, but doesnt have online play (a must for fighters, in my opinion), and Forza is similar to Gran Turismo, but umm...where is Gran Turismo 5? By the time that is released, 360 will have Forza 3. As for paying for live, well, 50 bucks for the whole year is not really bad at all. Better than paying some monthly fee like some pc games. Funny thing bout this "convince me to buy a 360 post" is that i was thinking the same thing the OTHER way around. Trying to find a compelling reason to get a ps3 as it seems most of what ps3 has, I can find on 360. LOL

PS3 has Valkyria Chronicles.
That = win.

Wait... what the hell does that have to do with anything? It's coming out for ps3 too. As far as what I've seen though, looks like the best version is on the wii. So if a multi-platform game turns out badly you'll just arbitrarily say the 360 is bad and get a ps3?RemyC wrote:I haven't picked up a 360. Im waiting to see how Sonic Unleashed turns out. Don't that just look oh so tasty?

Totally agree. Never had a problem with mine. Not really that loud, either. Games on HDD means no noise at all.nickfil wrote:True- the hardware in the beginning was shit. Red rings and all that. And come to think of it, I haven't seen any ads in the new dash they way they had them in the old dash. There are no banners or boxes, just a few slots in the new UI menu in various categories.
