Oh yeah I know. Hmm cant remember if you can still get that or not... I snagged mine after the stage.

I still like to use a mermaid or 2. Their back row attack is decent. I do like Seraphims though... Yushis is awesome.

Yeah, I may just have to settle for a second-best ending or something. And I'm keeping my Mermaids around, I just won't be using them as much. I have a bunch of monsters in reserve, though I'm currently sitting around 65-70 units overall.

Remember that you can only have a max of 100 units, so when you start to get close to that make sure to prune, or you won't be able to recruit some of the hero units (they join all or nothing).

As for your problem with the Silver, my understanding is that it's decoupled from the low ALI item, so in theory if you were low ALI when you did Pogrom you could still get the Silver on a return trip once your ALI is high enough. I've technically screwed myself out of the top two endings because I gave my Brunhild to Galf, but I'm still planning on meeting all the other requirements for World.

And Muses rock. Two hit-alls in the back with a decent element beats out Mages any day. Obviously rocking a Sorcerer or Lich is better, but I'd say that a Muse is better than a Doll Master. I think I've got 10 muses now, which includes a few of my Shamans that I converted to Muses.

I have many a times before but not yet this playthrough. Popo is the closest.

Just beat it. So when I left off I had just recruited Galf. Over the next three stages I proceeded to get two crowns, a staff, and an undead ring, so now I was at 4 Princess (all heroes) and 6 Liches. I blitzed the Temple and Xanadu (first because I felt overpowered, second because there's no sense in liberating that map), then did a massive sweep on Zetegenia to destroy all their units and send in my Opinion Leader to overthrow the Empress. Then on the final map I blitzed a unit consisting of Aisha (princess), Yushis and a Seraphim, Fenril, and Gilbert as a Dragon Master.

Final ending was Priestess (though I had all the requirements for World aside from the Brunhild I gave to Galf) with 100 Chaos Frame and 120 days spent.

How long did it take you Popo?

I have beaten this long ago via emulation. Gonna fire it up on the SNES next week.

Not sure; I think I spent a week and a half, but I was only doing a couple of maps a night and then went and did something else.

Ack wrote: No worries, just reload. I'm worried I may have screwed myself out of getting the Tablet. When I first did Pogrom Forest, my Rep was low and I ended up getting the Censer, but it wasn't so low I could give it away. Now that my rep has gotten pretty high, I'm trying to go back to Para, but I continue to get the same message about the merchant Toad leaving for a different city. So I am guessing I've screwed myself out of both the Demon statue and the Silver.
Can you not get both by juggling rep a bit?

Also, juggling between Cleric/Shaman and Valkyries is an interesting option to control Ali and Cha in Amazon-branch.

Muse > Mage because they hit twice, then. I didn't notice Mage is only 1 hit all.

You can, my rep was just too low at the time. I got it much higher over the course of Diaspola and have now gotten the Silver(as well as Norn, who has become my first princess. The demon statue I got from Posha has been used to get a staff, so Warren is now a Sorcerer). I'm currently paused in the Valley of Kastro, but I'm worried that I initially spread my units too thin, so now my northern squads are getting slammed while some of my most powerful units in the southern side of the map just aren't seeing any action.

I gotta say, Warren's a beast. I can't wait to get a Ring to make him a Lich, because he is now supported by a Wyvern and two Ninja Masters in his squad. He doesn't beat enemy squads so much anymore as lay waste to them, and more than once his team has annihilated a series of enemies without taking so much as a hit.
