FWIW I've never heard of Savers here in Texas other than mentions on the board.

There was a Savers that opened in WI by my parents house, but it closed within the first year of opening!

They are one and the same.

I have heard people say you should donate to Australian Owned charity stores over places like Savers in which apparently some funds go off shore, don't know how much truth there is to it, The Salvation Army of Australia keeps its funds in Australia.

We don't have many of them though, there is one within walking distance of my house, then then about 35 minute drive, then pretty far. I think there are only 4 or 5 in my State.
Yeah, there's not too many here. I know of two. One about 15 minutes from me, then another about 30 minutes from me. I never bothered to check if there's any more. I always just assumed it was a local thing, I was surprised to find a second location. Now I'm really surprised to hear of one in another country.
Oh no, another Thrift Store Franchise to drive up to! That Savers looks as large as the Desert Industries stores. Reading the reviews they also give you a coupon to use in the store when donating goods. None local but some in the next few cities up north. I thank you and my wallet and car will hate you. :D

I had never seen a Savers before moving to Albuquerque. It's the only decent thrift store in town for finding game related stuff.

On another note, slowing way down on the intake I only got one thing this week; a boxed Sega CD and a copy of Dracula Unleashed for $35 through a Facebook swap page. The box wasn't in the condition the seller noted in their post so I was going to walk away from it until I saw that she was including a model 2 Genesis (which she didn't previously mention). Not a huge bonus but it evened the deal out in my eyes. No cords or controllers but everything works.

Good luck. I'm sure a different location could have the potential to have different stock, but I hardly ever get lucky in Savers. I've only had two good video game scores (one in each location) out of the 1-2 dozen times I've stopped in.

It's definitely a good price but I already have a boxed one in much better condition. It's basically trade fodder for a future deal. I'm making an effort to stop buying stuff that's not going to have a permanent place in my collection, regardless of how good a deal it is.
