I don't think I own a single SNES beat 'em up.
You're right. I fixed it, as it apparently appears in the same compilations as Knights of the Round.

And you're missing out.

<gasp!>

That's not really that bad...With readily-available arcade compilations and arcade ports on modern systems, the only ones you really need are Marvel Super Heores, Ninja Warriors, TMNT IV, and X-Men (and, arguably, the Rushing Beat games)

Also, Saturday Night Slam Masters always "felt" like a beat 'em up to me, and to my knowledge, it has not appeared on any of the Capcom collections. It is really fun, however; so, you may want to consider getting a port of that game too.

I really do need to start looking into more genres.

I have a "decent" SNES collection (more than 100 games) but it's comically skewed in the direction of RPGs.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

This brings up a good point though. What are the great SNES wrestling games? I'm not really big on wrestling games and only own WWF Super Wrestlemania and the King of the Monsters games.

In the talk of platforming games for Ziggy and whoever else, was RunSaber on that list? That's a must play.

Same here, I have a limited collection so far and have no interest in that era of BeatemUps, the action just seems too stiff and the same thing over and over. I picked up a couple few good import obscurities; Super Gussun Oyoyo, Mario Picross and Nichibutsu Arcade Classics. Plan on getting the must haves of the Donkeys Countries series and of course Mario All Stars.

Maybe even pick up Star Fox simply because of the famed FX connection. I know there might be better FX chipped games, but Star Fox is the game I remembered at being wowed by the graphics of the day; played so many times at a store demo kios.

Pocky and Rocky if I ever find one at a decent price. Sigh, might have to get the poorer version PS2 Heavenly Guardian to hold me over. :?

As I stated earlier, Saturday Night Slam Masters is really fun.

I also adore all of the WWF games on the SNES. WWF Super Wrestlemania is OK, but Royal Rumble and Raw are awesome. (They are very simple - but fun - games, and my younger brother and I played them to death back in the '90s.)

You can safely skip WCW Superbrawl.

I have never played either Hammerlock Wrestling or Natsume Championship Wrestling.

Get the GBA version. While it is pretty expensive for a GBA game, it is less than half the price of its SNES counterpart.

Super Wrestlemania is fundamentally fine but very verrrrryyy limited. Royal Rumble and Raw are both light-years ahead of it. "Bedlam" mode in Raw is especially fun. Bear in mind there's really no difference between any of the wrestlers other than their music and finishing move.

If I had to pick the best, I'd also go with Saturday Night Slam Masters. Big colorful sprites, a big range of characters, goofy entrances and a wide variety of moves beyond punch and kick.

This. The GBA Pocky & Rocky is great.

There's also a Pocky & Rocky game on Taito Legends 2.
