I hear it's a great game! Right guys?

...Guys?

One of the worst things I've ever done in my life was trick someone into buying that game.

Oh, yeah. It's great, but you know what you should do? Just skip that one and play Virtual Hydelide for the Saturn, instead. You'll thank me later.

Hydlide isn't that bad if you like old ass JRPGs like Dragon Slayer, Xanadu, Romancia, etc.

And in all seriousness, Super Hydlide on Genesis is the best installment of the series.

Picked up a copy of Twilight Princess on the Wii for $5 from Savers, I have a copy but this one is in much better shape so I had to pick it up.

You have Savers in Australia? We have Savers here in the USA. I wonder if they're the same.

They are one and the same.

I have heard people say you should donate to Australian Owned charity stores over places like Savers in which apparently some funds go off shore, don't know how much truth there is to it, The Salvation Army of Australia keeps its funds in Australia.

We don't have many of them though, there is one within walking distance of my house, then then about 35 minute drive, then pretty far. I think there are only 4 or 5 in my State.

Ah yes, the only one that I was able to play for longer than 15 minutes. I rage-quit over something, but can't remember what (probably starved to death in an attempt to make it back to town after a long and possibly lucrative dungeon attempt; or maybe I just died somewhere in a ridiculously hopeless situation). Super Hydlide is a strange one, but it does have some charm.

Been meaning to try Virtual Hydlide again sometime though. I just can't bring myself to actually pay money for it...

--EDIT--
Damn, I just realized that we live in an age where finding even a game like Hydlide out in the wild, is a rare and celebrated occurrence. At least, that's the general sentiment I've been hearing lately; I don't live in an area with retro game stores anymore.
...I miss last decade :|

Super Hydlide is actually part 3 and Virtual Hydlide is part 4.

Sadly #2 was never released in the US, and it's only on Japanese computers so it's not exactly import-friendly.

You know, I've perused the HG101 article a couple times and I still forgot there was another one.

Not that it matters to most ARPG gamers though.
I'm hard pressed to even give Super Hydlide another go. It would help if it wasn't such an ugly Genesis game.

Yeah, there's not too many here. I know of two. One about 15 minutes from me, then another about 30 minutes from me. I never bothered to check if there's any more. I always just assumed it was a local thing, I was surprised to find a second location. Now I'm really surprised to hear of one in another country.
