-I do not have many friends with 360s, and probably wouldn't want to pay an annual fee to play with those who do.

So, should I buy one?
A) The 360 has Prey, Quake 4, Shadowrun, The Scene-It games, Amped 3, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts (and you can get the N64 version, which you can't get on the Wii), Bullet Witch, Culdcept Saga, DOA series, the Halo series (well, DUH!), Kameo, Lips (a karaoke game), Ninja Gaiden II, Perfect Dark Zero, and countless others listed HERE.
B) It's still got PLENTY of gr8 games on the XBLA.
C) There's still PLENTY of gr8 non-RPG's
D) Well, some games support multiplayer with XBL Silver, but only with the games that also have Windows Vista ports, like Shadowrun. And you don't need to know anyone with an Xbox 360. I mean, when I played online a few times, I just went on there and played with random people... until my trial Gold account ran out.

And another thing about the Xbox 360 that's good (if you're an American):

IT'S AMERICAN MADE!!!!

So support the US economy. BUY AMERICAN!!!

Although many of these that you mention are also available for the PC, that Wikipedia list is handy. At this point, though, there's just not enough there for me to justify buying the console. Maybe when it can be had for under $100 in another year or so...

Ha! This doesn't persuade me in the least, but made me chuckle!

It might be designed in the US and the proceeds go to a US company, but the manufacturing is not done in the US.

Well, I love my 360 and I have since the day I got it in September of last year. I've had a great time, and I didn't need XBL Gold to feel that way. I have gold now but don't even do much mp gaming. The best thing I have going now thanks to gold is the Netflix subscription. I was already a NF and a Gold subscriber, so the latest system update basically just game me a set-top NF box for free (the Roku box is $100 so I consider it a pretty good value-added proposition).

Anyway, you asked about games. If you're truly looking to be persuaded by exclusives and you already have a ps3 there may not be much of a reason (or fewer than there used to be with games like Oblivion and Bioshock now on PS3). That said, here's what I consider to be a good slate of titles:

The Orange Box (a non-gimped version) or Portal: Still Alive if you don't want HL2
Dead Rising
Pac-Man CE (fucking stellar and am not joking in the least)
N+
Crackdown
Shooters like Gears, Halo, Left 4 Dead (not a huge shooter fan myself but I do dig Half-Life games)
Rez HD and Ikaruga if you have a hi-def set
Braid
Castle Crashers (buggy online but I think it's OK for 1p; patch is in cert right now)
Turn 10 is said to be doing the next PGR game which is intriguing to me but could be a dud

Other aspects that might appeal include: Xbox 1 BC if you missed out on any of those titles, the new XNA community games and a better mix of all types of DL games than either PSN or VC (though those certainly have their strengths), and a far far greater selection of used games when you head to places like GameStop, if you shop there for used games. This is key for me, as I usually only buy used. Last gen I decided to get a PS2 because it was the most popular system and the used selection dwarfed what was available for the GC or XB. This gen, the 360 is the new PS2 in that regard.

All in all probably not much need for one if you have a PS3. But I would personally disagree with those who think it's shit. It's a good box IMO.
