So what do you all think? Got the game, just waiting on the system to play it on.
How's the HD Xbox mode??
Has anyone here played it with the touchscreen function, and how much does the game suffer without it?
Thanks!

The hands-on impressions start at page 13. I think I will pick this up, but forgo the arcade stick. I could build two or three custom sticks for that price, and the touchscreen will never be used for any other game.

I got the game yesterday, but haven't played it much. Maybe add me to your Xbox friend's list, and we can co-op it sometime. Be nice to play with someone who speaks english to help me with the menus.

Re: First impressions for home version of Otomedius??
Finally fired it up last night. I will say it didn't live up to the hype that I had created in my head.
I guess I was expecting something more along the lines of Parodius. While it definitely fits that bill, I feel that the Parodius series had far more imagination, as far as enemies/levels are concerned. The Egyptian stage was the highlight for me.
I will say that the "HD" mode in widescreen was enjoyable. A refreshing change from vertical shmups that use ~1/2 of my screen.

I must admit that I was not too impressed with Otomedius G. I played it a bit more, but my attention span wore thin pretty quick, and I went back to Raiden IV without much hesitation. I unlocked one achievement, for what I don't know, but I got one. I can't really recommend the game to anyone but the most die hard SHUMP collectors. I don't regret buying it, as it is a neat novelty to have in my 360 collection, but in hindsight I probably would have passed on a purchase if I would have known more about the game up front.
I'm biased, as I am a huge Raiden fan, but I can definately say Raiden Fighters Aces and Raiden IV are solid purchases for importers. Both have lived up to and exceeded expectations for me. I have pre-ordered Dodonpachi, and liked it on PS2, so I am looking forward to getting that one in the coming weeks.
