Can you convince me to buy a Xbox 360?

I have a PS3 and Wii. I have some interest in the 360, but want to know what I'd be getting that I can't get on another platform. I know it has:

-Gears of War series
-Halo series
-Better shmup selection than other consoles

These are all compelling reasons, but not enough to sell me. So, convince me to make the jump.

Keep in mind:
-I am only interested in the exclusives that make the system worth getting. If I can buy or download something for Wii or PS3, than I probably wouldn't want to do so for the 360.
-I have no interest in paying for/downloading old games that I can play on their original system, find on a retro compilation disc, or emulate reasonably easily.
-I have no interest in RPGs.
-I do not have many friends with 360s, and probably wouldn't want to pay an annual fee to play with those who do.

So, should I buy one?

360 really sucks. I'm usually in the camp of thought that says "Every system has its worthwhile titles." But I owned a 360 for a year and it was just awful. Hardware, software, dashboard, everything. Hated it all.

XBOX Live should be free if they're going to put 12 ads on your dashboard. Pisses me off.

Dead Rising is my favorite game on the system and it's exclusive. Castle Crashers is pretty awesome. Crackdown is fun for a while. The Geometry Wars games are pure awesome. I have one and I'm pretty happy with it, but then again I'm not sure that there would be much of a difference between it and the PS3.

i am in the same boat. just really cant find a reason to buy one, at least not until they are dirt cheap. I dont see myself paying for live either.

I have Geometry Wars for the Wii and love it. Dead Rising is also coming to the Wii, although I am skeptical it will be anything like the 360 version. And of course Gears 1 is on PC...

I heard Castle Crashers was pretty buggy - did this all get fixed?

I hadn't heard much about Crackdown but will look into it. The fact that both it and Dead Rising can probably be had for cheap is worth considering.

you can just change your 360's internal country settings to japan and get them. Someone on this forum did it to get raiden IV. Also there are plenty of shmups on the us 360.

Sorry but this is incorrect! You need a JP console. Please let us know who lied to you about Raiden 4.
