The only reason I ask is because you guys talking about these games made me try out the Tank Tank Tank and W101 demos.

TTT was fun but Wonderful was kind of a mess for me. The camera wasn't helpful by often staying zoomed in way too close (not sure if that can be changed?) and there was just too much happening on-screen; and I frequently play bullet hell shmups so I don't know what the issue is. :? I know everyone seems to like this game and I'd like to give the demo another go but I'm not sure on this one...

As SB said, it's $24 on best buy now, so I think it's worth a shot. You can zoom in / zoom out the camera.

It isn't bullet hell or melee type action, but as you progress you do need to be able to figure out exactly which superhero to select, or which formation to turn them into, in a hurry. There are some fun puzzle elements too - mostly tied again to knowing which superhero might be able to do X, etc, but you'll def. get stuck a few times.

The demo itself is kind of lackluster and I really feel like it turns off more people than it should. It's hard for me to say "you'll enjoy the full game more!" but....it'll.take a while for the game to "click" and since the demo is a really small piece of the whole game (a play through is pretty close to 20 hours long!) it's unlikely to all make sense during the demo.

And the L and R buttons toggle the camera between zoomed in and zoomed out BTW.

Maybe, but all I'm thinking is that X is coming out this year, and if they release an X limited edition Wii U I just MUST have it, so I will end up buying one. Is a 200€ price point for the premium model too much to ask for?

@ZeroAX

I'll have you know that its not my idea to do this, but someone somewhere brought this idea up (maybe an article in a business magazine) in which huge corporations get into unsuccessful business just to keep a presence and have a hand in a certain business. I guess its like how a media conglomerate keep a newspaper around even when everyone knows newspapers are losing money.

I think Luke here said that comapanies will continue to stay in business even if they are making a $1 because this means that other people get to keep their jobs when I talked with him about Capcom getting closes to bankruptcy somewhere around the forum here.

I also find it hard that Xbox is losing money especially when they say that they have something like 24m active users online with gold subscription. They make like 1.5b out of the online subscriptions only not to mention stuff like digital downloads and obviously game sales which are not small amount of units.

If the Xbox situation is bad with 80m units, I just cant imagine how bad it is with the Wii U at 5m currently.

Late reply to some of the MS discussion a few pages back.

Xbox simply does not fit into the probable MS strategy. MS has failed to capture any significant market share in Smartphones. Consumers don't like Win8. Most consumers are moving from PCs to tablets. The only exception to this are the hardcore PC gamer crowd and business. Business still want Windows, and business are often more interested in Surface Pro than iPad or Nexus. To business, especially ones with security concerns, Windows is known and can be secured to their liking using their current tools. Office is still a monopoly in business. See the theme here? Business. MS has probably already lost their consumer divisions. Phones are unlikely to go their way, PCs are on the out, Win8 isn't well received, Zune failed, MS has no other competing consumer devices. They don't make BD players, they don't have a Chromecast/Apple TV competitor. The only thing they have consumer wise is Xbox. I suppose Xbox would be your Chromecast competitor, but not on price!

Okay so MS may decide to start focusing more on businesses, and cut the failing consumer parts. That cuts everything but Xbox. How long can the culture clash between the business focused Office/Windows/Surface Pro parts last with the consumer focused Xbox? Additionally its not that Xbox has been a great investment, its been a terrible one. Xbox has never made money. If you count all the money spent for R&D, plus all the money they've received its in the red. The likelihood of Xbox being spun off into an independent company is a very real possibility. This might be bad or good for Xbox, really depends.

Also the idea of Nintendo putting their current IP onto tablets is ludicrous. Has anyone thought about implementation? How could Mario work on a device without buttons? It can't. A move to tablets will destroy the creativity and feel of the games. Many Nintendo fans will not make the switch.

Are you saying that Microsoft will turn into something like Oracle, and consumers who are looking for a PC will just have to do with Linux or Mac OS X because Microsoft is quitting the consumer market?

As for the surface, I heard it failed miserably

...You're making his point for him. Those games are (mostly) atrocious with touch controls.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

The Surface RT isn't doing well. The Surface RT is the consumer version. The Surface Pro is the business version, which is doing well. You can Google it, there are tons of praise for the Surface Pro and Pro 2 with business. Which is what I'm saying, MS is only seeing success with business.

I'm not not saying that consumers looking for a PC will have to deal with Mac OSX or Linux only. I'm just saying that Windows and Windows based PCs will stopped being geared for consumers. What I see is laptops geared for business, and desktops, and really desktop parts geared for high end gamers. Low end and middle end consumer PCs, especially laptops, will likely go away, or become significantly more scarce. The remaining diehard PC users will be forced to buy a business line or build their own gaming rig. The market is moving this way, and as it does MS becomes less and less relevant to consumers at home.
