True. With Microsoft I was sort of thinking about the 360 and not the original Xbox. The 360 is going to receive a decent amount of support still. Mainly because of multi platform games and a few Xbox exclusive cross gen games as well.

Well, both really I guess. Will we see PS3 support in 2016? I figure at least sports games will still be out then right?

In my opinion, we definitely will see new PS3 games in 2016, and probably even later. Lots of smaller dev companies will be interested in releasing games for the system well into its twilight years and it's likely to see releases of FIFA until 2030

Apparently PS4 games cost about 15% more than PS3 games to make. So more money to make a game for it plus a tiny install base....for mid-range developers and publishers who have just started diving into HD consoles in the past 2 years, it will make financial sense to keep making games for the PS3 for years to come. Not to mention Sony keeps pushing their previous gen consoles into developing markets, so the number of PS3s should keep growing.

Um....probably a lot since it costs them nothing. Blue ray disks are blue ray disks. They are not cartridges like the SNES and N64 had, which meant a completely different production line.

Yeah you're probably right. Can't be much different than pressing a PS4 disc.
