Yeah, best to let Chrono Trigger die... *sniffle*
Mother 4 looks cool though.

Yeah I've read about what they've done to Chrono Break and Chrono Resurrection, they go a little over the top when it comes to making sure that stuff doesn't get made. It's like NoA in the 80s all over again.ZeroAX wrote:hahahahahaha....no man....just no.....don't you DARE do anything fan related when it comes to Chrono Trigger. Square-enix will HUNT YOU DOWN. Seriously.s1rweeze wrote: I'm curious if anyone here has ever been involved in a fan-made project like that? A pipe-dream of mine is to try and write a "real" sequel to Chrono Trigger, I'm not especially crazy about Radical Dreamers or Flames of Eternity. Or Chrono Cross for that matter.

Going after fan projects is incredibly dumb and only results in negative PR. I can understand protecting your intellectual property if they're trying to profit off of it but in most cases they're just a labor of love that at worst will be ignored for being crappy and at best serve as free publicity for your brand.

Are rom cartridges reliable ? I feel like getting a SNES but I just don't have the place to store all the cartridges and its just more convenient to have 1 cartridge that will do everything. I never tried those by the way and not sure if they work or not.

Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
Since everyone was sharing their collection a few pages back, I thought I'd share my puny collection too

As you can unfortunately see, only 2 RPGs (Zelda and Gaia are action adventure games imo) and no beat em ups
. I'm almost done on the platformers I want though.
Played some more Super Mario RPG today. Got through the maze woods. Funnily I remember the Bow boss being a pain in the ass, yet I punched through him like a piece of paper.
EDIT
I also noticed I only have 1 PAL cart

I've never used one but I've often been tempted. They're the best way to play translated roms on the original hardware and great if you're concerned more about playing on the original hardware and less about collecting.RCBH928 wrote:Are rom cartridges reliable ? I'm sure somebody else could tell you which one is the best to go with but I've never heard a bad word from people who use flash carts. Everyone I know recommends them highly.
If I ever do decide to sell off my collection I'll probably take this route.

Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
Played some more DKC3. I've collected everything in 5/7 worlds (not including the secret world ofc), but I got stuck on this bonus level http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... Qb7A#t=272, and after having a difficult time getting to it too (the level really is tough if you are being impatient, which I really was) I stopped and took a break. Going to either continue with this later, or Super Mario RPG.
BTW I just saw in a wikia page that the GBA version of DKC3 had an extra world. Wow I didn't know that. Now I'm going to be tempted to play through my copy of DKC3 on the GBA (never played through it even thought I bought it when it came out, cause the new music is just horrible)

I always get the same feeling when going to face Bowyer. He gave me so much trouble when I was a kid, so I always expect him to be an ass, and then I end up destroying him
Since the game isn't super tough, you should challenge yourself with a "No Lazy Shell" Culex fight! Not sure just how tough that would be, I recall him feeling impossible until I found the shells... and then he didn't stand a chance.
For how compact and straight-forward that game is, there are still items/gear that I have never acquired. What is it, 100 super/ultra jumps to get that pin?

You know I see these great snes collections and my temptation kicks into high gear. I do have the modded xbox but the nerd in me wants the original hardware to appreciate when I buy the game and makes me want to play to beat the game. Emulation is not the same feel. It sucks. Ohh well. I did play a little Saturday night slam masters and xmen. The xmen game is beautiful but hard. I still like xmen 2 for the genesis better. The snes game characters are giants.

My heart says I should tell you to go for it. My wallet says "oh god not another SNES collector who is just going to blow more air into the SNES cart bubble".mas wrote:You know I see these great snes collections and my temptation kicks into high gear.
