I eventually got to a place where I was happy with my library now I don't pick up games very often anymore unless I find something new or interesting or I run across a deal too good to pass up in the wild.
Though if I picked up a new system I didn't have then the cycle would start again. As much as I'd like to get into the PC-Engine I'm avoiding it as hard as I can because I don't have the money or extra space to spare.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Went on my weekly pawn shop hunt no luck game wise but I did end up with a slim PS2 color variant and some controllers. Also picked up some $1 dvds.
Didn't have this color yet and it was in really good shape for $25 so I picked it up as a back up. Came with the silver pack in controller and a standard black dualshock 2 with no Sony branding.

Also picked up a few cheapy DVDs. One of the stores had B2G1 so I paid $3 total. Dead Space Downfall, The Invincible Iron Man, Doom Unrated Extended Edition, and Stay Alive Unrated Director's Cut.

Finally I picked up an old Mad Catz Analog True Steering Wheel for the PS1 from goodwill for $3. It's missing the foot pedals but I thought it was pretty cool. Also picked up a new thick six foot coaxial cable for $3. Planning to setup another a/v switch box in the computer room so I can easily hook up consoles for reviews without having to swap cords out under the desk
. Probably going to get another shelf in here so I can hook up my Atari 2600, the silver PS2, and Game Cube with the new GBA player I just picked up. Might bring the genesis in as well it's just kind of taking up space in my room and hasn't gotten much attention in a while.

Certainly not an award-winning movie by any stretch, but it has its moments. Mostly just Frankie Muniz pretending to be a hacker.noiseredux wrote:I thought Stay Alive was fun. Yeah.

Same here, the FPS scene is my favorite in the movie.Hazerd wrote:DOOOOOOOM!!!!!, love that movie, screw the haters.
Nice Finds, especially that Flashback 2. Did you verify which disc reader (look at the tray cutout) is in that XBox?J_Wil wrote:At Goodwill:
Xbox for $9. It works, just missing the AV cable. Also, had a scratched up Splinter Cell and wouldn't read the disc. I'm sure someone tested it because this store always prices working Xboxes at $20+ and broken ones for under $10. The disc drive opened in the store so I took a chance.
For some reason I decided to buy a piece of sh*t Super Joy crap Famiclone. It's the only thing I bought that doesn't work ($6). Oh well...
The Powerjoy usually fail at the RCA connecters, an easy solder remelt to the PCB. Try playing it without any Famicom cart plugged in underneath. You might find some gems built in that controller.
Craziest part is the CIB prices, especially some of the imports! Made another BookOff run today, a very nice sweet pile to take pictures of before posting.Fragems wrote:Damn I wish we had a book offor something similar around here
. All of the pawnshops and resellers in the area probably couldn't fill an aisle like that unless they hoarded stuff for a month or two

Got lucky logging into kijiji at the right time. Got a Sega Saturn with one controller, power and AV cable and a Game Gear with 5 games (2 of them are Sonic 2). $60 for the bunch.
My first Saturn. I wanted one so bad as a kid but today I believe is the first time I've even touched one. Now I need to get some games.

Which GG Sonic games? Most of them are good, so you should be all right. And not a bad price for the lot of them. Get yourself a 4MB Action Replay cart and join the import scene (or don't, actually, so I can enjoy relatively inexpensive Saturn gameselricorico wrote:Got lucky logging into kijiji at the right time.
