I have two more quests to go. Last one was an escort mission. I hate those...

do you have a landline? If you can find a cheap/free dialup ISP in your area, then you can connect to Sylverant server...

I do have a landline, but that sounds like a lotta work. For now I'm really just interested in finishing the game up so I can get rolling with Ogre Battle. Someday it would be pretty cool to get my DC online though...

nope. You can play the PC version as Single Player, but you still have to connect to the server to do so. It's solo, but not technically offline.
You can play Version 2 PC offline, but yeah BlueBurst saves everything server side. I could never get v2 to work without crashing on modern PCs.

Server is still down. I'm about ready to give up on finishing this one, which is a shame as I was pretty commited to it this time last week.

such a bummer. I was pretty excited to have leveled up so much in such a short period of time. Hopefully they straighten out the server issues in time to get some more play in this month.

Considering checking out one of the Dreamcast private servers in the meantime. Maybe start a new character there. Not sure. There's Sylverant, and I think Dreamcast-Talk has its own server as well.

"Hey maybe I should see if I can play PSO on the item I got from the charity auction... The Famiclone that displays images on a GBA screen..."

Bone, you are so awesome. That image cracked me up and made my night. Did you try playing long with it, or did your eyes strain from such a small image?

I couldn't play for too long on that screen. The text was somewhat unreadable. That said, 8 and 16 bit games mostly look fine.

This Famiclone may seriously be the strangest and coolest piece of hardware I've ever seen. I think I'm gonna make a post dedicated to it, with tons more pictures. I just had it hooked up to a DVD player - I was JUST WATCHING SEINFELD ON A GAME BOY ADVANCE.

Anyway, sorry for the somewhat random thread hijacking... Time to go back to PSO - on a television.
