Though it's a bit sad there are so few games that make absolute use of it for gameplay features though :(
Making full use of it for gameplay probably leads to breaking remote play.

I really wish Nintendo Land featured online multiplayer. Many of the games seem to be designed with three or more players in mind, despite featuring the ability to play with just two. Very rarely am I in a situation with more than one other person to sit around and play locally. Still fun, but all the Miiverse comments, and watching others' Miis walk around your park is such a tease.

That's what made me make that comment :P.

Yeah, apart from Nintendo Land most of my games don't make extensive use of the touch screen. However, the stuff Zelda and Pikmin use it for is very nice, and whilst they play great on the gamepad, you do lose a little in having to pause to access the gamepad stuff rather than doing it on the fly. It wasn't a deal breaker for me though.

Honestly, if the only use for the gamepad was for off TV play, that'd have been enough to sell me. I think we're still going to see some games make use of it in interesting ways though, which will be even better.

Less than 1 million units separate PS4 from Wii U sales according to vgchartz. Do you think this is going to make Nintendo push their limits to aim for #1 again or do you think we will see a "Dreamcast" from Nintendo ?

If you were a developer which console will you build your games for?

1) Don't trust vgchartz it's shit. The fact that they use z instead of s should be enough evidence alone.

2) Of course Nintendo will try their hardest software wise. I just don't see them selling the Wii U at a huge loss to gain market share.

3) I don't think the Dreamcast compares to the Wii U in any way.

4) Neither. PC and Android are the future. Consoles are going to die, or open up as a market and turn into linux boxes with Playstation and Nintendo branding.

Also worth noting. Wii U sold fantastic until the new year when it launched to. As I recall it sold a little over 3 million units between launch and 2013. The problem was it dropped to selling basically nothing afterwards.

While I don't think the PS4 will have that happen, I could easily see it happening to the Xbox One.

Edit: VGChartz tends to be okay when it comes to their hardware numbers. I wouldn't trust their software ones.

This comparison has no basis in reality and needs to stop.

Sega should develop Phantasy Star V and Skies of Arcadia II exclusively for Wii U. 8)
