Re: Soldner-X on 12/4
FYI, Play-Asia has lowered the retail version (PC) price to 30 bucks as well.
Re: Soldner-X on 12/4
I bought the PC version, only to never open it. Seems like it will be entertaining for a bit, but nothing has compelled me to play it so far.
I might just play the PS3 version instead, since they went through the trouble to upgrade it so much.

Why would you not play it? Are you planning on selling it "sealed" to someone? Really whats the point, no offense.RackGaki wrote:I bought the PC version, only to never open it. Seems like it will be entertaining for a bit, but nothing has compelled me to play it so far.

I never found the game that enticing. I played a sizable chunk of it just didnt click with me. It is beautiful though.
Re: Soldner-X on 12/4
The point is to keep the resale value up and give money to the developer while being able to play another copy. I'll probably open it up in the future anyways, but there's no sense in cracking it open if I'm not going to play it yet.John845 wrote:Why would you not play it? it is beautiful - I bought the PC game in the nice box from play-asia - it is a great game - but it isnt the feel of shmup that I like personally, so it didn't really gel with me unfortunately - even the small/drone like initial attack waves take too many hits to kill for my liking and the enemy hit-boxes are too precise for my liking - call me cheap but it just feels too finicky to me
having said that I will buy it on XBLA as it will look outstanding on my HDTV, and also I think 'we' should support these kindof games

aww :'(
damn so now there's 3 reasons for me to get one:
ICO Team's next game
God Of War 3
and now this :s
another reason is for it's blu-ray capabilities - I was hoping with Tekken 6 being confirmed for both I thought Icould hold out, but its looking unlikely >:| ...

dl'ed
It's quite fun! I'm a little surprised as I usually find hori shmups quite hard work, but this just feels right, kindof like an old style shmup, not bullethell patterns (so far), and it's a bit faster paced than JS1942 - good game, worth the cash, enjoy!
