The Banner Saga

Post by Jmustang1968 »

This game is finally out today. We have interviewed the devs before on the podcsst and I played the press demo. This game is awesome.

There is great tactical gameplay with some varied units. The art is stunning as well. What is really gripping is the story and decisions. You will be faced with situations and the decisions you make have dire consequences. You make certain decisions that have an impact on your characters and story. I had one of favorite warriors die during a sequence when I became greedy. The guys who liked Xcom need to check this out.

(developer's site)

Right now it's a Steam release for Windows and Mac. Supposed to go to Linux and iOS, along with PS3 and 360 digital releases eventually.

crap, this game looks good. I'll add it to my wishlist. I spent most of my Steam wallet this week. Thanks for the heads up though, John. Looks like something I'd enjoy.

Yeah after playing the demo, I kept thinking about it and wanting to keep playing as it ended in a cliffhanger. I played the preview demo in one 5-6 hour sitting.

I have too many games to play.

Might buy it. We'll see. Looks super good though. I need to scratch that Fire Emblem itch again.

What a stupid and frivolous lawsuit. These guys can't afford to have to deal with this. So lame.

Yeah it is really ridiculous. Good thing they are getting a lot of support.

I would really like to see Square Enix launch a lawsuit against King over their use of the word Saga, because I can't tell the difference between Saga Frontier and Candy Crush Saga.
